I'm the same. We've been described as a Micro-Generation between Gen X and Millenials (Xennials) where we're not quite fully a part of either.

We're the last generation who grew up in an analogue world before it went digital. We remember rotary phones, but got mobiles in our youth.

We had to use libraries, but probably had internet access before we hit University. We saw the death of vinyl, the rise and fall of CDs and the rebirth of vinyl.

I agree it's a bit strange but I wouldn't want it any other way.

Of course I do  , I just don't see the value in creating another meme to bash them with. We've already got gammon.

All Gammon are boomers, but not all boomers are gammon.

They're different names for the same thing, but I'd argue Oregon Trail Generation is more American-centric as I don't remember ever seeing that over here. Granny's Garden would be a better equivalent.

Generational theory is the new astrology - generations are basically star signs that last a lot longer, and the dates all change depending on who you ask

"Oregon Trail Generation"?

All of this just makes me think that every sub grouping, no matter how small you make it (short of the individual) just wants to find some way that they are special and distinct from others.

As people born under the waxing moon of early harvest season in '82 we know that those filthy gibbous moon bastards will never understand us!

Those born in 1980 are the best. Most of us were made in the 70s but emerged into the glorious 80s before coming to adulthood in the EXTREME 90s.

People born in 1984 are the kings. Does any other cohort have a literal masterpiece of fiction named after the year of their birth? :datass:

Closest I can think of is people born in 2012 who will have to spend their lives trying to forget they share their year of birth with a gooseberry fool Roland Emmerich movie.

I'm jealous of people born in 2000 because they don't have to convert between any given year and how old they were at the time. I have to stop and work out what year I finished school, not so for generation 2000.

I was born in 84, but I see Jenuall was. So I've decided 84 is the wrong year and have legally changed my birth date to 83.
