Five pound coins ARE actually legal tender, it's just they're not intended for circulation which is why you never seen them used in that context.

These strawberry floating Ola adverts in front of every single youtube video when I'm watching through the app.

I'm not interested in another strawberry floating gig economy ride hailing app, just strawberry float off.

I found the one for Anchor very annoying. Read a great essay on Spotify's attempt to privatise the largely open podcast space, which is a Bad Thing. For anyone interested: https://mattstoller.substack.com/p/will ... g/comments

I don't often agree with you but this is an exception.

See also ads for Corsodyl, the latest diet coke ad, and strawberry floating Sun Life.

When i last looked it was 120GB i think, but that was a while ago.

50GB though means i'll be lucky if it's updated in time for the weekend, so no team deathmatch for me tonight.

Annoying woman at work (the one who slurps her tea and starts talking to me when I have headphones on, even though I clearly can't hear her) has developed a habit of butting into conversations and making the person repeat their story. This is bad enough, but she then mishears what they say and goes off on a tangent asking questions or completely not getting the conversation, which means the person telling the story has to correct her or start again and everyone else just idles awkwardly. Very annoying.

Real life example of the above:

Normal person: "So this lady got arrested, I wonder if she was one of our customers?"
Annoying lady: "One of our customers got arrested? What did she do? I hope we aren't going to keep her policy in place? Have you spoken to the finance team to see if they can cancel her payment?
Normal person: "No, we were just saying that this woman had been arrested on the news and we were wondering if she was our customer."
Annoying lady: "Well we shouldn't be dealing with people that get arrested, I don't know who approved that, do you know when she took out a policy?"

**SIGH**

It started when Welsh girl was reading out an email to somebody else for them to check it sounded ok. Welsh girl is pissed off that we have no anti-bacterial handwash.

Welsh Girl (WG): “And so I asked our secretary who said she isn’t able to order it”
Checker: “Should you call Sharon a secretary? We all work together”
WG: “Yeah good point. I’ll change it to “And so I asked our Sharon who said….”
Annoying Girl (AG): “"Our Sharon?" Haha that is so Welsh”
WG: “What’s Welsh?”
AG: “Saying “Our” like that, it’s really Welsh”
WG: “No it isn’t, it’s not just the Welsh that say it”
AG: “Well I have Welsh family and they all say it”
WG: “So?”
AG: “Well my English family don’t say it, so it must be a Welsh thing”
WG: “What the strawberry float are you talking about?”
AG: “I was just saying how Welsh that was”

They then kind of ignored each other, although Welsh Girl was throwing some filthy looks across the desks towards the Annoying Girl for an hour or two after that.

It is, but she’s right that it isn’t just a Welsh thing. Mancunians “alright our kid” for instance.

I was really hoping for a proper fight to break out though. This office needs some proper violence to liven things up a bit.

Yeah I wouldn't classify "our X" as a Welsh thing at all, it's pretty common phrasing in lots of regions.

Either way both AG and WG sound like great co-workers who must bring joy to all those around them each day.

It’s endless joy here. ;)

My wife told me once that she was listening to an R Kelly song (back in the days when it was acceptable ;) ) and her mum asked what she was listening to.

“R Kelly”

“Our Kelly? Who is that? I don’t know anybody called Kelly”

It’s not just Welsh, the Jamaicans do it as well. ;)
