This is bad enough, but she then mishears what they say and goes off on a tangent asking questions or completely not getting the conversation, which means the person telling the story has to correct her or start again and everyone else just idles awkwardly. Very annoying.

Real life example of the above:

Normal person: "So this lady got arrested, I wonder if she was one of our customers?"
Annoying lady: "One of our customers got arrested? What did she do? I hope we aren't going to keep her policy in place? Have you spoken to the finance team to see if they can cancel her payment?
Normal person: "No, we were just saying that this woman had been arrested on the news and we were wondering if she was our customer."
Annoying lady: "Well we shouldn't be dealing with people that get arrested, I don't know who approved that, do you know when she took out a policy?"

**SIGH**

Either way both AG and WG sound like great co-workers who must bring joy to all those around them each day.

It’s endless joy here. ;)

My wife told me once that she was listening to an R Kelly song (back in the days when it was acceptable ;) ) and her mum asked what she was listening to.

“R Kelly”

“Our Kelly? Who is that? I don’t know anybody called Kelly”

It’s not just Welsh, the Jamaicans do it as well. ;)

It's definitely common in the North East as well

Never heard anyone say "our x"

Look at our Pedz not knowing common phrases

It happens in NI. It's definitely not restricted to the Welsh.

I find it tends to happen in offices where there might be more than one Kelly and they're referring to the team or company rather than some customer or supplier etc. And that's about it.

Has anyone pointed out that in tests anti bacterial soap and normal bar of soap are about as effective (about 98%) at removing bacteria?

I would love to tell Welsh girl that fact but I would fear for my life.

"Serial cc'ers" in work who copy everyone and their dog vaguely related to a topic into an email.

My company is awful for it, I lose so much time going through emails I don't need to read. But you have to at least quickly look at everything in case it is related.

And then you get those who "reply all", with nothing more than a thank you, just to prove they're good and obedient little piggies.

And I'm sure we've all experienced a Reply All clusterfuck too when something gets sent out to everyone by mistake, and idiots start replying all, asking to be removed from the mailing list and then bigger idiots reply all telling them not to to reply all, and then even bigger idiots etc etc until you lose the will to live.

This happened at my old hospital when the Radiology department had a locker amnesty and accidentally sent an email about it to the whole trust (about 15,000 employees). The most common reply alls were polite - "I don't think this is meant for me", impatient - "Please remove me from this email chain", stupid - "I don't have a locker in my area can I have one lol", angry - "SHUT UP ALL OF YOU", and mischievous - "LOCKERS!"

By my rough calculations there were easily well over a million emails sent in this chain, IT ended up threatening disciplinary action to all repliers because the email server was about to crash

Same thing happened to my university which was about 4000 students I think. Except they signed up to Facebook thinking that was their email address.

And in other news, Infinity Ward are just adding the finishing touches to the next update. Release: Once Vermillion has finished downloading the previous one.

I don't leave the PS4 on all the time, which is why this stuff can take several days.

Is there a reason why you can't leave it on while you go and have your dinner/watch TV etc? That's what I do when I'm downloading massive things on Steam.
