".... is a mood"

It makes very little grammatical sense in 95% of the times it's used. Just strawberry float off with it.

I have not heard of this one.

Are they definitely not saying "is moot"?

It's a thing you see on Twitter and places like that. An example:

"The new normal" is the phrase that annoys me the most at the moment

On the subject of phrases, my wife cannot remember any properly at all, and always comes out with some weird version of them.

Any guesses on these two:

You need to float your fingers.

You can't make a cow drink its own milk.

I've not heard or seen this one yet. I look forward to it driving me nuts in the near future.

"I'm not gonna lie" seems to have crept in to a lot of work meeting calls now as a way to start a sentence :dread:

I had one the other day where it was suggested we have virtual coffee breaks with colleagues (not a bad idea really For 5 mins here and there), but also suggested was a 'lunch and learn' :dread:

There is a big generational gap here that I think I'm in the middle of. I've noticed people slightly younger than me use "mood" a lot, whereas people slightly older than me are mystified by it.

From this I would guess I am at most a couple of years away from no longer understanding how teenagers talk. RIP youth.
