How dare people write in the same manner that people actually communicate 99% of the time.

I honestly think writing 'uh', 'um' etc. is easier to read and understand as a flow of consciousness.

Absolutely this, also on Reddit too, posts along the lines of "so, uh, guys I was, like, thinking about what would, uh, happen if I, like..." must take longer to type and are less clear. Writing is different to talking as you have the ability to organise your thoughts and write clearly to convey intent and construct sentences properly.

The only time this is acceptable is when Mrs Doyle gets confused by that sarcastic priest in father Ted.

There's always one person in a group voice chat online who doesn't mute their mic, and they are always the one with banging, clunking, TV, children, pets etc in the background.

I realised a couple of weeks ago you can mute other people even when you're not the host. No idea if it tells them it was you, but no one has had a go at me yet.

I knew there was a reason I felt an urge to log in today, almost as if this thread was calling out to me. To conversational writing on reddit and forums, I would like to add the crime of sentences which go on forever with no capital letters or punctuation. A stream of consciousness that, if written out properly, would actually comprise 10 or more sentences. You know the kind I mean. Seen mostly on Facebook.

Wiltshire Council

They charged £1700 in council tax this year, and when the town ended up underwater 2 days ago after a thunderstorm, blocked drains were widely blamed.

Apparently though, despite demanding such massive amounts in tax, such basic stuff like maintaining the drainage system seems to be beyond them, as they made it clear they no longer clear drains, and will only do so if someone reports a problem.

Well i'd say most of the high st under 1ft of water constitutes something of a problem!
