Especially true for tech stuff - if people are just told to google the answer to a problem, then eventually all we're left with are guides that are well out of date and irrelevant.

Also those people that end a thread saying - oh nvm I fixed it.

HOW, HOW YOU BASTARD HOW.

This.

There is a special corner of hell reserved for these bastards. The number of times I've been trying to resolve some bizarre issue I'm having on my PC and there are only three google results for it and all three of them are people saying "Yay I solved it!" before vanishing off into the infinite vastness of the internet with not a strawberry floating clue as to what they did.

Oh god, add me to this hate club. You sometimes see this on Steam discussion pages and it drives me up the wall.

The mobile "big hat" glitch is fixed. Try refreshing if you're still seeing large hats on mobile. Thanks.

You should have doubled the size of the hats just to show that you will not appease the complainers.

Agreed, the official position of GR should be that we don't negotiate with terrorists.

Aiding and sympathizing -- just as bad as being a terrorist yourself, in my opinion.

Karl has the terrorist playbook, and has going through it step by step.

The legacy of the FalseyNoFun theme continues, I am pleased it has practical applications.

Managed to reverse into someone's car today. Dented my car and broke my Rear lamp and dented the bumper of the other guys. Managed to give him a fake number and get out of there quickly at least.

What did the guy look like? I mean physically describe him? Did he smell and if so what of?

Be as offensive as you like.

I'd be careful, he might have got your number plate and be checking it against DVLA records right now...

I still use the subsilver theme, can't cope with the new one, just doesn't look 'right'.

Maybe I'll look into it. You take care of yourself.

Having a Boots Advantage card and rarely using it, I didn't realise you had to 'load your card' in terms of promotions both in store and online. You've got to go to the website first and buried within the account settings is where you have to opt in to various offers. So for example '400 points when you buy X'. So naturally I'd already bought everything and missed out. This is in contrast to Tesco and Sainsbury's Nectar who just add the points automatically if there happens to be a points promo running. Because why wouldn't you unless your intention was to make sure some people don't notice.

I used to get points on my M&S sparks card, but then they changed it so no one gets them anymore.

Some of the offers i load on to it though are pretty decent.

Printers.

I'm using DPD to pick up a package i want to send to family, as I feel confident they'll probably get there before Christmas.

My mum has a wireless printer, so I thought I'd use it to print the label. It's a WiFi printer, so connecting to it on my laptop took multiple attempts. When it did connect it wouldn't actually print, just leave the job in the queue.

So I booted up my mum's pc, which takes about 7 minutes to boot and is on Windows 7. Once it does, I try a test page and it seemed to just spit out a blank page. Turns out the black was failing. Don't have any spares, so I changed the black of the label to a very dark blue and it printed flawlessly.
