When I used to work shifts, the guy who worked the opposite shift to me used the same desk as I did.

He smelled like a strawberry floating open sewer and left hair/skin flakes everywhere. I had to bring in a spray to mask the odour every day.

I have my own desk. But it doesn’t stop arseholes sitting there when I am not here.

I am going to have to Home Alone the entire desk. How painful do traps have to be before HR get involved?

Where I used to work I made my desk so intimidating no one wanted to touch it.

Have 3 monitors 2 pcs and a laptop using a program called Synergy to share the keyboard and mouse across all the three, the main pc was an Ubuntu desktop so no one wanted to touch it in case they broke something.

Worked a treat.

There’s a bloke here who has a weird mouse, it’s like a normal mouse had sex with a trackball and the resulting mutant freak sits there on his desk. Nobody ever wants to go anywhere near it so his desk always gets left alone.

strawberry float sake, why are some people utterly incapable of sitting down/standing up without making the kind of noise you'd expect from an Olympic deadlifter?

"AaaaaaaaAAHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHKKKKKHHHHH AAAAAHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

If they're all making that sound when they sit down then I would guess you are the only person that missed the memo about Buttplug Wednesdays.

What's your take on people that let out an audible "aaahhhh" after sipping/slurping their tea?

"It is what it is".

No gooseberry fool, it's not something else?

I don't know if it's just me but everyone seems to be saying this non stop in work now.

Apparently this phrase is commonly heard in Love Island.

Can confirm it's from Love Island. I think it was originally a natural thing one of the housemates said, but it's pretty obvious that the producers have made it "A Thing" that the contestants are now encouraged to say for the memes etc, all publicity.

There's a lady in the office I'm working in that says "cheers my dears!" every time someone drops some paperwork on her desk.

Please exit me from this living Hell.

We have someone at work who says “thanking you” to stuff, it’s infuriating.

I used to work with somebody that said “thanking you”. I’ve no idea why it irritated me so much but I agree it’s infuriating.

'Thankyou ta' is the one that winds me up, as does 'cheers duck', all my relatives who live in Sheffield say the former, the latter is said by practically everyone from Chesterfield, I've lived here since I was five but thankfully never picked up the habit of calling people 'duck'.

I used to work with a guy who said this all the time to excuse his piss poor work, and voice his refusal to fix. It was absolutely infuriating.

It is what it is because you strawberry floating made it what it is! It's your fault!

I honestly barely hear that at at all. I mean I know it's a Chesterfield thing but I genuinely can't remember the last time I heard anyone say it.

Please do not post this in the "No Context" thread

Wife on spotting that White House Down is on Netflix:

"That's up there with Die Hard!"

Anyone know a good divorce lawyer?
