When you have a valassis voucher (can only be accepted once) but the printer screws you over and just runs out a blank page. Literally cost me 50p off a quiche. SUMMER RUINED.

And why does Google Chrome run so many processes...

Bruv, seriously, I've got 1 strawberry floating page open.

Open Chrome's own Task Manager (Menu -> More Tools - > Task Manager) and it will show you what the processes are for.

Chrome likes to run various things in new processes for a whole variety of reasons - for one isolation is just generally a good thing, process A dying doesn't kill process B as it might if it were all wrapped up in one monolithic process etc. Separate processes will be used for tabs, frames, extensions, rendering specific graphical components etc.

In future couldn't you print to PDF, so you've got a back up?

Drivers who can't accept that they are in the wrong. :x

Classic example of this today - coming over the roundabout and signalling that I'm taking the next exit, must have been no more than 5m from leaving and a car just jumps in from the road joining on the left so I have to slam my brakes on to avoid a crash. So, given that this idiot has caused an issue, and to make them aware that I do actually exist, I give them a parp of the horn.

Now any sane individual in this situation would put their hand up or otherwise use some mechanism to indicate contrition - "yes I know I was wrong - sorry". But no this driver thinks the correct response is to wind their window down and flick me the V sign as if I'm somehow the one in the wrong. :fp:

I accept that sometimes people just make mistakes whilst driving, and even that some people are just intentionally gooseberry fool at it. But own your strawberry floating mistakes and apologies you utter twonks!

Idiot at work at 9am: “I was up being sick all night but had to come in because of my Bradford score”

Me: “Stay the strawberry float away from me!”

Idiot at 11am: “I feel so ill, I worked an hour extra the other day so will leave at 4pm”

Me: “If you don’t want to take any sick time, why not just ask for a half day?”

Idiot: “Nah I don’t want to waste holiday”

Idiot just before 1pm: “I FEEL SO ILL!!”

Me: “….”

Print each forum page to pdf and then you might be able to read it easier.

It’s an option, not sure you can print to pdf on an iPad easily.

Load each page and then scan the whole iPad screen in - problem solved. :datass:

People deciding that because the stairs they're on are moving very slowly in the direction they're going, it's simply not worth continuing to produce any movement of their own.

I appreciate that some people are incapable or find it very difficult to walk up and down stairs, but this affliction cannot reside in the majority of the population, as you would believe it based on escalator usage up and down the country.

Other people interested in this article went on to read 'Slow walkers' by the same author.
