Upgrade the family dinner. Get down to 'spoons for a carve up.

People who somehow manage to take 18 months to walk up a small staircase. I actually had to completely stop moving twice to avoid walking in to the back of someone going upstairs just now.

Weather forecasts. They're actually useless. If you can't forecast the weather properly then just don't bother at all.

This happened to me the other week.

Torrential rain, they said. 80% chance of thunderstorms. AWFUL WEATHER. Took the big umbrella with me. Didn't rain at all. So by 4pm in the afternoon it's now quite warm and sunny and I'm carrying around this umbrella like a pillock.

When it's pouring, you feel all smug that you purchased a golf umbrella that can sustain a hurricane. When it doesn't rain you're cursing having to carry the damn thing around, or use it as an impromptu walking stick and feel like an old man.

What is the best way to tell someone you're not interested in hearing about their kids ever again?
