But no, that’s just how they taste apparently. :dread:

It's definitely a bizarre, painstakingly acquired taste, but I actually kind of like them. :shifty:

The cookies and creme ones are delicious, though.

I don't like the implication that anyone who wears a hat is a criminal. Not to mention I recently lost/had stolen a hat my father gave to me after taking it off in one of these places.

I tend to just turn around and walk back out of such places these days, preferring quieter pubs that don't mind me wearing a hat.

I mean, is this not just a standard decorum thing? I was raised to always take my hat off indoors and always have done, but on the occasions where I've forgotten in a pub or whatever I've never been asked to remove it.

Believe it or not it's a "security" measure in many bars in my home town.

Can't quite understand dress codes in some instances. My brother went to a golf club recently and they told him off for wearing a normal t shirt. But t-shirts with a collar are fine.

I mean, who gives a gooseberry fool.

T shirts used to be underwear. The only reason is because it offends generally thick, priveleged ponces who feel undermined if their life based on building up reputation by following pointless rules is put off kilter. The moment everyone stops following the rules, your true character matters, and then wearing £100 polo shirts and having the shiniest clubs no longer determines your self worth. That scares people.

I didn't think it was possible but Mexican chocolate is even worse, my sister brought some back with her a couple of years ago and it is genuinely the single worst thing I've eaten in 38 years of life (even worse than the solvent tainted Minstrels I once bought at the cinema - tasted like WD40).

This is way more annoying than the phrases ad hates, especially as the vast majority of people using it are doing so against people who aren't even old enough to be boomers.

Wow, we're annoying each other in the things that annoy you thread. Are we allowed to put GRcade as an answer?

People who make suggestions using the opening phrase "You must..." because these are exactly the people who get personally offended if you choose to ignore their suggestion.
