I yawn loudly at work because it makes the guy next to me yawn, too. It's the only little bit of control I have.

Every time i wanted to pick up an item from the shelf in the supermarket today, some dick had parked their trolley right in front of it.

I did yawn but I have been doing it pretty much non-stop since returning to work on 2 January.

The media player on PS4. The slightest knock of one of the triggers and the video jumps forwards/backwards a random amount and it is impossible to get back to exactly where you were.

Yes, it's an absolute crock of shite. It also doesn't calculate your tax correctly either. I enterred like 3 or 4 figures (3 incomes and expenses), and it said i owed £700 in tax, which i paid. I knew this wasnt right, as it's very simple to work out your tax, bit of basic maths. Anyway, i had to pay an accountant to contact them and ask them to reassess it. Turns out i owed nothing, so got it all back! So, make sure you manually calculate it.

I just wrote to them myself. The people who look at it working at HMRC actually are qualified accountants so if you ask them to reasses it they'll do the same maths and come to the same conclusion. They know the system is strawberry floated up in all sorts of places. Anyway, just saying you don't necessary have to get someone authoritative to tell them. Maths itself is authoritative if you present the figures in the letter. You did the right thing paying it first though. Otherwise they'll strawberry float you over for paying it late with a fine, but you can get that cancelled as well.

I've never stayed in a hotel which provides slippers.

Me neither, I have however been in a plane that did. Which given the length of the overnight flight, is arguably the same thing, just, y'know, in the sky, travelling a 200 miles per hour.

I find hotel slippers massive but I wear child shoes so no surprise really.

Slippers don't equal quality of hotel, in fact it seems quite arbitrary at this point whether they provide them or not.

Driving in new shoes, it feels like you've had a double foot transplant.

I've never had a problem with driving in new shoes, I did however go for a drive wearing wellies the other day and it was a strawberry floating nightmare!

When you spend 2 days looking forward to going to a BBQ restaurant and getting ribs, only to get there and when you order your ribs they tell you they don't have any

I've had the same experience with some heavy boots! Also ended up basically stomping the brake the first few times I used it, was a bumpy start!

Update - When you order a burger instead of the ribs and the burger is the utter definition of mediocre.

It's probably due to the fact that everything is grey and miserable at this time of year, and after a while it just makes people more aggro.

I know i'm grumpier than normal at the moment as a result.
