Exactly!
Should've taken it as a warning sign to just leave

You'd have been better off, by the sound of it.

If the burger was that naff, I don't have high hopes for how the ribs would have been.

Given Laga's opinions in the unpopular opinion thread, the burger was probably really good.

It's probably due to the fact that everything is grey and miserable at this time of year, and after a while it just makes people more aggro.

I know i'm grumpier than normal at the moment as a result.

Vitamin D deficiency, and no-one in this country knows anything about nutrition (not even the GPs) or takes supplements that aren't being advertised on TV as part of a new form of spreadable butter.

When the guttering is leaking and all you can hear is water constantly dripping outside your window. It sounds like a guy taking a leak in a bush, stopping and then starting again constantly.
The council said it needed to be fixed in November, they haven't been seen since.

I would pay for it on a credit card and then bill them plus interest.

Working in the same industry as you, in fact I even used to have your exact role, I would suggest taking the first proper week back in the new year as annual leave. You’ll dodge all these idiots who suddenly have “urgent” IT requirements that they put off over Christmas.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I had this problem last year, but when i contacted a guttering company about it, they quoted me over £1000 and demanded scaffolding be constructed. Then i got in touch with a tradesman in the next town over, he took one look at it, said a couple of seals had broken and did the whole thing for £35.

We have the exact same problem with our house. Except we can't be arsed to pay for someone to come and fix it. The worst bit is when it stops raining but the gutter continues dripping heavily for hours afterwards.

I've just spent half of my first morning back in the office trying to get one of my automation scripts working for a user with a password that has a space in it. Might take off 3 weeks next year.

Radio 1 in the workplace continues to do my nut in. The worst offending song right now is some annoying piece of gooseberry fool that repeats the phrase "you've got to pump it up" for its entirety. Even hearing it once is too much.

That Danzel song was playing on the radio the other day and I was amazed when a colleague told me they weren't sure what it was.

I asked them: "Don't you know pump it up?"

If you're talking about the song I think you are - isn't that song about 10 years old? What's it doing being played on super trendy Radio 1?
