Did a current account swap to HSBC for the £175, I was getting information from them but nothing about the current account swap. I have them a call to make sure everything was ok but failed security as I didn't know the overdraft limit on the account that hadn't been activated and their only solution was to go into branch with photo ID which I didn't have time to do. I got my card but can't activate it because you need a telephone banking security code which I don't have.

I'm just going to swap straight to a different account as I don't want to stay with such a shambles of a bank but gutted this has cost me a bit of free money and a small forest in paperwork. Are there any sites to give them a bad rating that anyone will take any notice of?

Software that requires setting up an account and then logging in every time you use it for no actual reason.

Just tried the Razer Synapse software to fiddle with the dpi settings of my mouse and had to go through the above nonsense, why the shitting hell is it necessary to log in to change a few settings of something no-one else uses?

Also, if you ask me to look for an organisation and that organisation doesn't exist, that is not my fault, shouting at me doesn't change the fact that it doesn't exist. And likewise, if you give me the wrong information on a book (title, series and author) and my searching turn nothing up because of your lack of information that isn't an excuse to yell. Also, if I show you the authors website and there is no mention of it on there, maybe take the authors word over your own wrong information

Is this the library in Chesterfield town centre by any chance?

Yeah I did, just the fact that there was nothing about the switch in the initial few letters made me worried that I'd messed it up somehow. I didn't thing ringing to speak to someone would ultimately mess the whole thing up.

Because personal data is something they can sell for more money.

Some banana split got my suitcase off the baggage carousel at the airport then, upon realising it wasn't theirs, just left it on the floor rather than putting it back on the belt :x

Yeah, that's the one. To be fair the majority of people are either really nice or just don't show up on my radar. The ones that do annoy me are the ones that really get under my skin. It probably doesn't help that I have worked there for 13+ years. We've had customers actually make staff cry (not going to lie, I'm one of them) before because they have been so nasty

It's not so bad for me now. I'm at university and only work there 4 hours on a Saturday plus whatever shifts I decide to pick up during extended holidays.

Woah, woah, woah. What is this, you can't be serious

Yeah, it's happened a couple of times. One person wanted an out of print book. We couldn't buy it or borrow it from another library authority but it was available, used, on Amazon. It was about £40.

"Could you buy it for me? I don't have an Amazon account, I don't trust online shopping. Once it arrives I can pay you back."

He got quite pissy with me when I said "no". He put in a complaint against me saying I was extremely unhelpful. He did decline to detail exactly why I was unhelpful., just that I was "rude, unhelpful and needed retraining)

Someone else wanted me too book their coach tickets and hotel for her and for her to pay me back. She was at least more pleasant and seemed happy enough to follow my suggestion of asking for a family member to book it for her.

People are so odd. Imagine asking a stranger to buy something and then getting annoyed when they decline.

I bloody hate baggage carousels. The way every crams round so it's a struggle to pick yours up when you see it is infuriating. If everyone stood a few yards back and only moved forward to pick theirs up when they saw it, it would be so much easier.

Yeah, but if I don't stand with my shins touching the carousel, right in front of the exit chute, then my bag might not be the first one out.

banana splits repeatedly marching up and down the same 10metre stretch of street in a small town with a Bluetooth boom box on full, as if in their fantasy world this is the strawberry floating Bronx. Piss off you bellend. This seems to be a thing now.

 chances are that because you have worked there that long you will have seen me, my partner is from Chesterfield and we lived there for around 18 months, before we lived together we would go to the library to use the internet on the computers and if I am completely honest people watch because it did seem to attract a lot of rather odd people, one lady once was saying to a member of staff that someone there “saved her from a possible jail sentence” and wanted their address which they obviously didn’t give out and then she really went off on one, later that same night we went shopping in the co-op and she was in there shouting at them,

But seriously I do have very fond memories of the library because we are both not the sort of people to go to a club or a pub and it offered a nice place to meet and get to know each other

Wish people would use roundabout lanes correctly. Had so many near misses because people like to use the wrong lane as some kind of cheat code.
