Miniature inconsiderate acts infuriate me sometimes.

Just experienced a classic one in the supermarket just now, in the queue for the till and the dickhead in front of me doesn't put down the "next customer" barrier on to the convertor belt despite it being right strawberry floating in front of him. So I have to lean right across all of his gooseberry fool shopping (who the strawberry float comes to sainybobs exclusively to buy 48 cans of Stella and a bag of giant marshmallows? :dread: ) to put it down for him so that I can get on with loading my own stuff on.

It really isn't hard to do mate, just strawberry floating engage with society and stop being a cock. :x

And then when they finally manage to fumble through and order something, they're suddenly surprised it doesn't take cash and have no idea how to use a chip and pin machine without someone telling them what to do, so it was all a colossal waste of everyone's time.

Either strawberry float off and stand in line for the till or ask someone for help fuckwit, there's other people waiting.

This times a thousand.

Also on a similar note: People paying for items on card that comes to under £20, but using chip and pin instead of contactless.

To be fair not all cards have contactless yet - I only got a contactless card last year.

I forgot to add that I meant when I can see the contactless symbol on the card that's in the reader!

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Just been frozen out of my Amazon account despite actually using the correct password (I logged in yesterday with the same password and haven't changed it) it insisted on me giving additional information (card expiration date) and ended up accidentally clicking the wrong option in the drop down list. :fp:

Crowds of people standing in front of doorways when people are trying to leave or get past. WANKERS.

Even worse are, on a night out, people who smoke in doorways of pubs.

I don't care if it's cold, strawberry float off out of the doorway and down the road. You chose to smoke you prick so strawberry float off somewhere you're not forcing anyone going in and out to inhale that gooseberry fool.

Also, when groups of people decide to have a full blown committee meeting right in the middle of a supermarket aisle during (which always seems to be the case) the busiest shopping days of the year.

We have this outside the library. There's a tiny bit that's sheltered just outside the main entrance and all the smokers huddle there when it's raining. Getting them to move on is a pain.

Please do not post this in the "No Context" thread

Honestly I thought it was customary to mark the START of your shopping this way rather than the other way around, but maybe I'm weird.

I guess it could work that way, but I always put the "next customer" barrier down when I have finished putting my shopping on the conveyor belt.

I can't even remember to be honest, my partner does it for me and I just help load the bags and carry them home.

Only a monster would look at it that way. :capnscotty:

I think the intention is that you put it down to mark the end of your shopping as an invitation to the next customer to start loading their shopping, hence the label "next customer please", but I see where you are coming from.

Ultimately the frustration was more rooted in this guy being a dick and completely blocking the conveyor so that even if he can be absolved for not putting the sign down himself he was still an arsehole for getting in my way of putting it down!

The fact that there was a ruddy great spider on the ceiling right above where i was having my hair clippered in the barbers today.

On one hand, I have to remain still, on the other, I wanted to look up to see if it was still there, all while hoping that i'd be out of there before it decided to fall off and land on my head.

The question to ask yourself is, would you put it down if you were the first person in the queue?

Sounds like he was a dick, but could you not just ask him to put the divider down for you?

Everything being compared to the price of a coffee.

Coffee shops are strawberry-floating expensive! T3 has said that the Disney+ monthly sub is "less than the price of a large coffee". As if we each buy loads of large coffees from Costa every day. Grr!
