I'll make a mental note of that, just in case. The Sage service has apparently been having problems since last week which is why no one has really covered me. And with retail opening up again, we've had a huge amount of orders suddenly come through. So it's crazy. Tonnes of work and no software to do it on :lol:

This isn't a problem at the moment because of WFH but when you're just about to walk out the door to go to work and your bowel is like "no way, dude... a massive gooseberry fool just arrived in the departures lounge".

When you get a missed call or a voicemail or something, and you get a notification about it in a hundred different places. Mainly talking about Teams here, but it applies on some phones as well. You get a notification on your screen, an email saying you've had a missed call, a record in your call history, a record in your activity stream, a record against that contact...and if they've left a voicemail as well, you get all the same notifications in all the same places, but about the voicemail.

I mean strawberry floating hell, all that from one missed call. Just give me one notification, have something that says 'seen' or 'acknowledged', and then clear all the bullshit notifications that have stemmed from that call. Or, better yet, don't notify me in a hundred places about the same thing.

I have the exact opposite with Teams. I keep getting into problems because I'm missing messages from people - it just doesn't seem to notify me at all!

No badge appears on the Teams icon, no desktop notification, nothing on my email, not even a "ping" noise when it supposedly happens!

A twat of a consultant asks me if I'm free for a meeting between 4-4.30 on Friday. I tell him that I finish at 4pm and that I have annual leave on Friday.

He comes back asking if I can be "flexible".

I just set up a workmate to attend in my place. She can deal with the bullshit.

It's one thing asking you to do a bit of over time just to fit with their schedule, but to ask you to work during your day off? Takes it to another level.

Should just call you during your lunch break like a normal human being.

Switch to Xero. I was thinking about the cost at some point and comparing to some other (sometimes free) alternatives and the key point I took from it, largely forgetting what those were, is it consistently loads at a reasonable pace every time I use it. Accounting sucks, but there's nothing worse than even slower accounting due to a shitty server/database/website performance :dread:

Sage finally started working at half 4.

I'm so stressed but the huge backlog will have to wait until tomorrow now :lol:
