On the one hand she was unnecessarily cruel to the miners.

In the other hand is my penis.

This must be how Denster has felt since 1982

How few strawberry floats some people seem to give about energy efficiency or the environmental impact of their actions.

Dropped my daughter at her dancing class tonight and there wasn’t really enough time to go home
before coming back to get her so I just waited in the car. One lady obviously had the same idea but unlike me she’s just been sat here for 45 minutes with her engine running and lights on! :fp:

That's the kind of thing I had to do before I managed to get a new battery for my car.

This was a brand new monster SUV thing so I doubt it was a battery issue!

It was probably Stool Bloke wearing a dress and using a different vehicle.

People hounding me on LinkedIn.

I can't stand LinkedIn, but unfortunately it's a necessary evil at times. I had an invite from someone, "Hey Victor, we share a lot of the same contacts, let's connect!"

Why not, it doesnt hurt to add someone to the pile.

"Hey Victor, thanks for the connection! We are a blah blah blah company blah blah blah your company, can we have a call to se how we can add value to company X?"

Remember I'm a lowly designer in a company that's so huge it has over 200 offices and has profits in the tens of billions. If this person had bothered to read up on it, he'd probbaly realise I hold no influence.

I ignore it, get a different one every other day, then yesterday I got, "Hey Victor, as one last attempt to get your attention, how about a free no obligation call to go through what we can add to company x. When are you free in the next few days?"

strawberry float. off.

Blocked.

LinkedIn used to be okay for keeping in touch with people and finding jobs, but the latter is all I use it for now. It's become just like Facebook, with a business slant, with people posting utter crap all day long - 'motivational' pictures, promoting a conference or webinar (shudder) or some crap they're pushing, humble-bragging about how well they're doing - it's just gooseberry fool.

Reddit's another one. I feel like it used to be okay, and if you found a good subreddit it could be decent, but those are very few and far between now, and the rest of it is utter, utter shite. The same stories or bits of content posted over and over again, painfully unfunny memes or shitty web comics, utterly useless and uninteresting 'content', a bizarre obsession with skin colour and race that permeates through a lot of the site (I guess driven by the dominant American userbase), and all wrapped up in hilariously bad site design/layout.

I never 'got' Reddit. Even back in the day when it was apparently better.

Just always hated the format of it.

I find Reddit to be pretty decent, but that's only because I've carefully tailored the subreddits that I give my time to.

r/soccer is excellent for football news and video clips
r/cricket is OK provided you can deal with the legit crazy Indian sub-base, who think that one bad game should equal banishment from the sport
r/NintendoSwitch is great for Switch news
r/BHAFC is very small but far better than the more well-known BHAFC fan communities

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

I thought fish had a 7 second memory? Surely their fish map would just be a fairly small blue circle.

Thanks sharing Rex, it just goes to show that sometimes we need a little help from others when our path becomes unclear.

Happy to help. Standard consultancy rates apply rounded up to the nearest half day. So that's £500 you owe me.

I don't understand why Phil Fish sees the world from the sea?

"So why not shift and see our world from a being on land but from the sea?"

That doesn't even make sense.

"This 'sea' map is a good exercise to broaden what we belief is 'reality'."

No, no it isn't.

Jesus  definitely the most ridiculous thing I've seen today, and I only just found out about Nigel Bromage!

Thanks for sharing that image, powerful stuff indeed. It reminds me of my recruitment consultancy business pre-COVID, and then being forced to BROADEN my horizons and expand my thinking on how I operate. Revenue is now UP 300%, unique clicks UP 425%, and my staff are happier than ever. Truly shows what you can achieve when you change your perspective. #change #expandyourmind #happy
