Barely contained jealously

I hope you have someone pull out on you when you zip past in the blind spot and you break every bone in your body.

Then contract a super bug in hospital and need to have your limbs amputated.

It's funny. Your first post sounds a lot harsher even though the second post is more violent.

I disagree. Those are the least funny two posts I've seen on here in a long time. Ad, stop saying offensive things to other members.

We've got a big Welsh dresser style thing (but where the top half has a cupboard in it). Its in brilliant condition apart from on corner at the bottom the the dog nibbled on. Nothing a bit of light sanding and a bit of stain wouldn't fix. We arranged for the British heart foundation to come and have it, and forewarned them about the corner. He turned up and then said they wouldn't take it :|

"You should give this away"

"We're trying, to you, for charity"

"...oh yeah"

Still wouldn't take it :fp:

Would this be before or after he comes out of the coma during which he was raped multiple times every day by the staff?

If he, the biker, comes out of the comma to offset an appositive from the rest of the sentence then I'd have no issue with that.

When supermarkets advertise a special offer on a particular product but they have none of that item in stock for the duration of the special offer then just as the offer ends it’s mysteriously back in stock again. There must be a name for this phenomenon.

I think it's "people buying lots of things that are on offer before you get there".

I had thought of that but I still think it’s some sort of conspiracy. They put a special offer on a product they don’t have in stock to get you to go into the store when you might not have done so otherwise and you spend more money on other things.

As someone who worked in a medium sized supermarket yeeeeeears ago I can tell you the score on this.

Say there is an offer on toothpaste. We get told about the offer in the week leading up to it and to expect extra stock to be about and to put said stock in a place you can easily get to it, as you'll be replenishing it throughout each day rather than the once you normally would. Warehouse space is finite, so realistically you can expect one or two pallets of the offer stock to come in, rather than a single box on a mixed pallet that you'd normally deal with under normal replenishment conditions.

The problem comes with customers known as cherry pickers. These are people who ONLY come in for the offers, which is expected and planned for, but within thus group you get people who take the piss and take LOADS of the stock. Like we had people fill entire deep trolleys with a single offer product, clearing out our allocation for the day. You also get people who come in first thing, clear you out by coming in multiple times to buy the max allowed amount and then coming back in minutes later to do it again.

We had an entire lorry trailer filled with toilet rolls that were the big offer one time, it sat and took most of the loading area up, and it was supposed to last the week. Greedy splits did the above and then it got cleared in a strawberry floating day. Then head office won't give you any more as you've had your allocation.

Tl;Dr they pan for it but greedy strawberry floaters exploit the system and clean out any stock that can be there.

Customers buying stuff is now considered taking the piss?

He came in and bought three Range Rovers, what a piss take!

It is if they are buying way way way more than they need just because it is on offer.

Its like people that say pre-ordering multiple of a console or something even though there is high demand and it will mean people miss out.

That's up to the seller to clearly limit the number of purchases per customer, surely? If there's no stated limit, then how can someone be taking the piss? It's a bit arbitrary.
