When you're on the phone and the instant there is a moment of silence the person on the line starts going "HELLO!? HELLO!? HELLO!?" as though you might have been cut off. Especially annoying when someone has calls you and this is the response after you're initial greeting thus the onus is on them to start the conversation or you've been asked to do something or get some information that would require time to do/find.

We all use Skype at work so having people randomly dropped out of calls is a semi-regular event so you need to check if you are still on the call after a moment of silence.

This can be annoying, although in fairness it can be disconcerting on phone lines that use silence suppression - normally you can hear breathing, background noises etc. when someone is just not talking, but in this case the line goes completely dead which can make you wonder if the other person has dropped off!

Not sure I'll use it as my ringtone (nobody ever rings me anyway :cry:

) but I do tend to stick Three Lions into my song rotation during tournaments - still think it's a great song!

Although just thinking about it now makes it quite depressing "30 years of hurt" is now "52 years" - I feel old.

I work with people that weren't even born when Euro 96 was on. So frikkin' old.

Didn't work out as they'd hoped.
