I was going to post a joke about him doing a less cute follow up video where he simulates the Alton Towers Smiler crash of 2015, but felt that went against the aims of the "things that make you smile" thread...

I found a giant roll of velcro cable ties at work today. Have spent most of my time fiddling with it this afternoon - rolling and unrolling, so satisfying!

Much better than a fidget spinner. :datass:

The elderly gentleman who helped me by pumping up my spare tyre as I was taking my flat tyre off. It sometimes amazes me how far simple acts of kindness can go.

He was absolutely slagging me off as well, the cheeky bastard

I helped some guys bump-start their car yesterday. Saw them struggling to push it when I was approaching my street, so I pulled over and helped.

Felt good, man.

(I know it's their car because I've seen them working on it several times in the past. It's been off the road for a while, so I think the battery must have died)

Helped someone push their car to a safe place when they couldnt get it going. There was bunch of teenage scumbags sitting nearby, just being teenage scumbags and being of absolutely no help to anyone at all. They started laughing when I went to push the car, jeering that the fat lad could never move it, they all shut up when I singlehandedly pushed the car back up a hill and out of the junction. 8-)

Yes, this is great news. Sad that that one diver died, but wonderful that all the kids are out safe

Bloody amazing. From the moment they found them I thought 'oh gooseberry fool, rising water levels'. All those involved have done an amazing job. I hope that the chap who gave his life is suitably honoured....

Ella's year 6 school report:
"We are really proud that Ella has been in our class this year and can rely upon her to be kind and sensitive to anyone she works with. As she moves on to a new chapter at her secondary school, we wish her happiness and success in all that she does"

That's just the last paragraph, the rest of the report reflects just that. I've been smiling like mad since I read it all. So proud of her!

They've gone out to buy a new, even louder and more annoying sound system and disco light set-up :toot: .

You can now look forward to living in a disco 24/7.

That story could also go in the things that annoy you or US Politics thread. His colleagues are great for donating days, but the system itself is strawberry floating disgusting.
