Waking up to an unblocked drain after letting some unblocking-stuff do its thing overnight. Now that's satisfaction :datass:

BBC Sport wrote:England forward Bukayo Saka was left "speechless" after Arsenal presented him with hundreds of messages of support following Euro 2020.

The 19-year-old was subjected to racial abuse, as were Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho, after missing a penalty in the final of the Euros last month.

Arsenal displayed cards, letters and gifts on a wall for Saka on his return to the Gunners' training ground.

"I'm speechless. How do I even say thank you for all of this?" Saka said.

"Can I just pick it all up and take it home?"

A wonderful reminder that, despite there being a fair number of racist oafs around, there appear to be plenty more decent and supportive folk.

My youngest nephew has had a heart issue and, over the past year or so, undergone regular hospital visits and tests.

I just found out that his heart is now healthy.

*Massively* smiling right now :toot: .

Yesterday I discovered a very unhappy-looking bee on the windowsill in the bathroom, no idea how it got there as the window was shut so it must have been there for a while. It was alive but not really moving, so I remembered what I read about them just running out of energy if they get stuck inside with no food source and got some honey and water for it and it sat there for ages slurping it up. I left the window open and came back later to see it had clearly had enough and flown away. Doing a little good deed like that felt good.

I was on a break when you posted this, Trelliz... brilliant stuff! It sure does feel great to do a good thing like that :-).

I was just smiling because I did some stuff at home. I've been real lazy these past few weeks and not really doing anything. I was getting pissed off with myself so today I've been up in the loft (rogue rat/mouse/squirrel issues), cleaned the bathroom, cleaned the kitchen and dusted/vacuumed everywhere. It felt good; cleaning boosts my mind. And then I smiled!

It looks like new laws will be passed in England that help ensure people who have Down's syndrome get the care and support that they often need. In years past, people with the condition rarely outlived their parents but in more recent times people are living longer and there can be situations where older folk then don't have people to assist them.

This change is a fantastic reason to smile :toot: .

Something that has helped cheer me up a bit lately is the top quality artwork that's been popping up all over town here.

This morning i was able to have a chat with the artist as she was busy creating her latest piece, and she thanked me for the promotion my youtube clips have given her work.

My favourite is the little wrens she painted a couple of weeks back...

She started painting them on boarded up buildings and the like, but now even the businesses in town have asked her to add animals to their walls, one shop even now has a portrait of their cat down by their front door (more of her work is on my insta).

When you rediscover old articles of clothing that you haven't worn for so long, they feel like new.

Although actually, they feel unfamiliar but still worn. So they feel neither new nor old, something completely different. I likey.

My youngest daughter, who loves her football, was talent spotted by a coach from Cheltenham Town FC under 16 girls team while playing for her current team Lakeside FC. She begins playing with Cheltenham FC next season. Proud dad moment.

Thanks mate. I don't really follow football myself, but I do naturally follow my daughter's football and her achievements (it's actually her mother who is the football fan from a family of football fans). However, I know enough about the 'beautiful game' to know that she is very good at what does (defensive-mid). One of my work colleagues (most of whom are footy fans) said that as she was spotted and picked up by Chelt FC as opposed to applying is a huge difference and a testament to her ability. The support that her current coach has shown has been magnificent.
