One of the sandwich vans which comes round the office where I work sometimes plays the classic 60s Batman theme-tune to alert people to its presence.

Never fails to raise a smile from me!

Digging up some potatoes in the back garden yesterday and found some anya salad potatoes that I'd planted last year and obviously left one in there and it grew. Having them for tea and they're lovely.

I work in childcare and one of the mums whose little girl was moving up got me a gift card, some cup cakes for everyone and the little girl wanted to draw me a picture as well as put stickers all over my card and also chose this cute little bread toy to give me

I've had an absolutely awful couple of weeks but that just really lifted my spirits :simper:

The resurgence of good quality Sci-Fi in general recently is nice.

The TV and film companies have finally realised that they can make more money by putting in effort and people are no longer content with minimum effort shite.

I was annoyed reading about the scum people that totally demolished this railway exhibition... but my heart was then warmed when hearing about the response; the many donations and offers of help to restore or replace the broken and damaged items. There are some total strawberry-floaters about but it's great that there are lots of decent folk, too.

I have been listening to an American movie podcast for a while (Shat on Movies), basically they review 80s/90s movies to see if they hold up.

One of their features is a “shat out”, where they read people’s names out at the end of the podcast. Most of them are silly joke names and so I have joined in a couple of times by entering things like “Big Bouncy Bristols” on their website and giggling to myself when they read it out. I am very mature.

Anyway, on the latest show, they read out my finest work yet. “Teeny Tiny Mark Francois from Bellendville”. Hearing that last night read out in an American accent, knowing that they had no idea what it meant, is still making me smile today.

I am very very mature.
