I don't think that can happen. If the game turns up then they'll have got a free game but you can still launch a claim with the Royal Mail.

eBay do monitor the proportion of claims buyers make and if people take the piss they'll lose their claim/get banned (etc).

Things do go missing in the post, sadly. What annoyed me in my case was that the buyer was extremely curt with me and pretty much blamd me for the game not arriving, when clearly it wasn't my fault and I was very good at keeping in touch with them. Tosser.

I haven't had any issues yet, thankfully, but if you are selling anything worth more than a tenner or so you're a mug if you don't use tracked, eBay are about making money of sales, they do this by making buyers feel safe by ALWAYS siding with them, and where there are buyers there are sellers. Sellers are 2nd class on eBay.

Absolutely. To be honest, I didn't realise this until the recent case of an 'undelivered' item arose. Without sellers eBay would be nothing - or so my thinking was.

Standard First Class postage covers you up to £20, though you can pay more for more valuable items.

I know they probably won't, but maybe you could ask for there PSN gamer tag, view his games to see/prove he hasn't played it, hell have nothing to hide if he agrees.

Great idea, but the guy could say he bought it as the copy didn't turn up.

Yes?

I've given up with ebay. Okay for buying, but the hassle and cost of selling on there is now nowhere worth it.

I prefer to sell stuff on Amazon where possible.

One other thing. I've sold a game. About 4 days ago now, the guy hasn't paid or responded to my emails. What do I do?

Call the buyer a banana split.

That or open up an Unpaid claim in the Resolution Center. Next to the sold item click "More Actions" & then "Resolve a Problem".

Here's the full rundown, glowy.

I didn't realise that the process can, if the seller desires, be started after two days.

Ebay is a pain, but Amazon is still the same. The only way of protecting yourself is by using Recorded or Special Delivery. The money you make is further cut down, but there really is no other way.

And then call him a banana split.

You have his address?

A while back i sold my mobile phone on amazon and the gooseberry fool claimed to not have received it a month later, so amazon opened a dispute. Thankfully i kept my special delivery receipt and the case was closed within 24 hours. This world is full of thieving pricks.

I wish i had bought it off you now!

The one you sold bloodborne to ofcourse. I was a little late and i think you were selling it at £35? Managed to get it for £31 in the end on ebay. I think the best strategy is just not buy off anyone who hasn't got over 100 feedback and been on ebay for less than 2 years.

Whenever i sell i used recorded as a minimum, but usually special for more expensive items like hardware, accessories and mobile phones.
