Sad how to get with the "modern times" it just means putting the characters into boring skin tight space man suits...like everything else!

Why can't they still wear the adorable pilot style ones? I hope the technology they use still has a futuristic 60's feel. Although it will no doubt just be Ipads to do everything.

They had some photos in last month's EMPIRE. Basically the sets are just like they used to be (physically built) but the characters and vehicles will all be CGI. If they mess with the way the vehicles look like in the Hollywood Live Action film then strawberry float 'em.

From what I've seen, only Thunderbird 5 is significantly different, and even that has nods to the original.

Could have been worse. They could have turned it into another X Factor phone-in thing. God only knows why they went with Harry strawberry floating Hill though. I've had worrying lumps that were funnier than him.

They're all spot on...apart from Thunderbird 2; they haven't ruined it, but it doesn't look quite right.

I swear Thunderbird 2 should be a bit fatter and more rounded. That looks too streamlined an aerodynamic...

The first look at the sets (which is the one thing that actually is real still) & the new Tracy Island play-set:

Am I the only one irrationally annoyed by the fact this isn't in the entertainment folder?

There are very brief videos of each Thunderbird on the official YouTube channel, along with a loooooong shot of the Hood's back with a little dialogue. He sounds suitably evil at least.

They all look great, but those bloody character models. :dread:

Hooray, a reboot of a childhood classic for thousands that will be a childhood classic for none.

Alright that's a little harsh. That "exploring the world" video of Tracy Island and other sets shows some really nice looking stuff, and I like the general style/vibe I'm getting from this. It's just those character designs. strawberry float me are those character designs utterly awful.

I'm intriguing about this as I loved the classic Thunderbirds. I have 40th year anniversary DVD box set and still got all toys like those die-cast models, characters and a bigger scale of Thunderbirds 2. Oh, I've kept Tracey Island in my wardrobe as well. 8-)

So far, I'm pretty much agree that it does look good and getting the vibe from the original but like some of you said about the character designs. It looks a bit off but it may work better than we all would expect.
