I know its another yearly update but its the same as Fifa, Pro Evo etc.

It will be the first Tiger Woods game i have owned since Xbox1 game so its been a few years for me.

I have tried the demo on live and its ok, although i still need convincing. I'm not fond of the analogue swing system, mainly because your not sure exactly how much power your going to execute in your shot. I think in the options though you can switch to the simpler three click system of old, although this is not available in the demo.

I also own and currently playing Every Bodys Golf 2 (psp) and this for me is up thier, great game, but i feel my 360 game collection needs a golf game. The demo does feel a little sluggish though but im hoping the full game will deliver, i'm also looking forward to trying the 4 player on live, should be good. So any body else interested?

Finish the hole first and switch over to spectator mode where you'll see your partners characters as they finish up the hole.

I loved '04 and I still believe it's the pinnacle of the series. There's just something I don't like about the latest versions, it just feels as though the series hasn't really successfully evolved enough. Having said that, I did enjoy the '09 demo but I doubt I'll pick it up.

The series has certainly become progressively harder, perhaps cheaper, with the sensitivity of the analogue swing becoming less forgiving, but i loved 08 so i'll probably be picking it up at some point.

I want EA to have finally nailed the Wii version, as the previous two had some truly game-breaking flaws when it came to the swing system. I'm hoping they've finally got them down now and this year will see a true rival to Wii Sports golf at last!

Got 08 last year and enjoyed it, even thought the controls took a little bit of getting used to. Dont see enough new stuff in this one to justify picking it up. Might get it if I see it really cheap preowned or something, but even then its a maybe.

Just click the right stick down and it'll change.

Other than that, I share your concerns. It's been ages since I've had a nice golf game, and I've been playing the PGA Tour 09 and the Everybody's Golf World Tour demos in the hope that one will stand out more than the other.

The analogue swing in the PS3 version of 08 was very unforgiving especially when your golfer has low stats. I switched to the 3 click immediately. I don't think you can use 3 click though on the higher difficulty settings.
I really don't see the point in upgrading from 08 to 09 as there is so much content in 08 that I've hardly touched.

I really enjoyed 07 but didn't like the changes the new development team had made for 08 so gave it a miss.

The demo of 09 seems promising with it feeling a lot more like 07. I'm not willing to pay full price but I'm sure I'll pick it up next year.

This.

However, I bought Tiger Woods 08 and had a lot of fun with it. Hasn't kept me going back to it like 04 did, although that might be because I just play games less these days. Doubt I'll be getting 09 though.

2003 remains my favourite. Barely touched 08 even though I loved some of the new online features.

Everybodies Golf on PS3 is my fav golf game in years

The Gamespot review is up, 8/10

'Friendlier controls and a host of other improvements make Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 great.

The Good Real-time swing feedback Dynamic skill progression works well Fun and extremely addictive gameplay Improved gamernet integration Four-player simultaneous play.
The Bad Still can't skip CPU golfers Same number of courses as last year New announcers are just as bland as the old ones.

I've yet to try the 09 demo but I presume it will be just like 08 anyway! :)

Only the other day I was looking at my shelf of games and realised I have every TW from 2002 onwards. I think I'm not going going to jump straight in this time. I have been burnt just about every year now for the last 4. They aren't bad games, just that they so similar every year. Will buy it when I can pick it up for £20 or less.

Mine's just been dispatched. :D

Can we swing with the Right Analogue stick also? The demo forced the use of the left, and I've always used the right. :fp:

2003 still remains my favourite, though I've not bought the last few years.

I'm waiting for them to nail the Wii version which should kick ass if done right though I reckon that won't be until next years version with the MotionPLus add on. Hopefully!

Mines coming from Gameplay, so should definately have it in the morning.

Any way your from Cleethorpes right? so you should be playing crazy golf not heading out onto the fairways ;)

If any one fancies a multi player game over live, feel free to add me.

I don't play crazy golf no more. They opened a posh new one right next to the old one that's been there years. Put it out of business. It's an absolute robbery and the fancy electric holes are nothing compared to the old classics. It's covered in sponsoring and the last hole is IMPOSSIBLE to get a free game because they don't want to just give it away. The old one was about 60/40 chance and the staff celebrated when you got it. There's the Arnold Palmer course just down the road but that ones nowhere near as good and the holes are too bouncy.
