I really like the look of this but it’s not one I’ll be picking up anytime soon. I’ll hold off for either a complete edition release or a Switch version.

Borderlands is a title that I'm pretty embarrassed about not playing as I have it on several systems but am still to get into it :fp: . I'm lousy at FPS games but I do like the look of it!

Are you gonna buy this latest release, Godzilla?

Already pre ordered  on PlayStation 5.

I'll jump into it once I finish Ghostwire Tokyo.

Borderlands does looter shooter better than anyone else. The humour is often poor but the gameplay loop is excellent. The feeling of getting an amazing weapon that you'll never part with only to find a better one and changing the combat because of it is fantastic.

This is more of the same but with more melee and grenades replaced with spells.

2 is the best best of the series by a country mile (well and Tales from the Borderlands)

If you plan on playing them I'd honesty advise just playing 2 and then nothing else.

Even this game is just an expansion of one of 2's DLCs.

I'll play it at some point but I'm in no rush. Borderlands is always great in co-op.

2 hours into this. So far it's more borderlands. The over world is nice enough and reminds me or Mario Rabbids open world.

Managed to get one good weapon which shreds. Everything else seems crap so far. But I expect better drops in time.

Happy with the game so far. Will be interesting to see how it opens up later. One thing I loved was the character creator, loads of options and it even asked for pronoun choice. Nice to see more options around gender and body types.

A few hours into this after I caved. Having a lovely time (level 10)

It's nice enough - the change from BL to an overworld was strange. Spellshot feels utterly powerful already which is nice!

Will Arnett and Ashley Burch are doing a lot of heavy lifting (there's something going on I'm sure :D). I'm surprised how poor Andy Samberg is though.

I'm on the end game chaos trials. It's rewarding and a good way to kill 30 mins. I'm tempted to change class from spell shot to a freeze focus shooter as it looks broken in the YouTube guides.

I've unlocked chaos. Level 11 (of 20) so get better loots and xp for the full game.

I'd recommend pushing the main quest line and unlocking all over world buffs.

Yeah I found it better to focus on unlocking all the bonuses in the open world as it makes it easier for the side stuff. Plus the more dice you find the better loot drops from quests.

Mainlined MQ amd I got all the way to the Fearamid town and it told me I was too far below recommended level (24 vs 27. It would let me it but suggested not)

Time to go back and have some sidequests....or I might try and just do all these Overworld shrine things.

Really enjoying it. Between level 20 and 24 my character somehow gained cool looking armor (nothing I've equipped) and the Spellshot Capstone ability is insane. I've immediately respeced away from Int as a result, but feel my starting choice was now sub optimal :(

And done quest at level 32. Feeling pretty gosh darn powerful.

All the side stuff still to do which I mostly certainly will as it's fun to play (although I could use some new spells).

I can't help but feel the original DLC did Fantasy and "Real" story better (when you realise the trauma Tiny is working through). The setting here didn't feel as imaginative as the DLC either (too much under the sea)

Still Spellshot/Graveborn is silly fun. There's no New Game+ just Chaos rooms (and boss refights). Possibly makes sense....much more diablo like.

DLC sounds very short and terrible value!

I'm just 1 trophy away from platinum, which is nice.

I've got the DLC, it's just a tiny new area that leads to a new maybe 6 room run then a boss. Kill the boss and it gets tougher or something like that. New currency to spend on a new random weapon bingo. But no choice as to what you get so it could be a melee weapon or somety you'll never use.

They've added a status, drench. It's applied and then ice or electric damage does loads more damage. So that'll end up being the meta til it gets patched. It feels like that game was built around frost powers and anything other than that is playing the game wrong.

I'm still enjoying it but that dlc and the cost for the true full game at just under £100 digitally is ridiculous.

It's just a re skinned borderlands 3 but shorter. The build diversity is poor compared to previous games too. Sad to say I think the series peaked with borderlands 2, with the dlc it was a huge game. Loads of characters to choose from which really changed the game.

Gearbox realised they could keep selling DLC and make money no matter the quality. Borderlands 2 was definitely the peak. I still think the pre-sequel was a B2 DLC they decided to shoehorn in to a full game given the moons prominence in B2, why wouldn't you visit there in a DLC?

Awful company I will not buy their products.

Ugh, this is getting annoying. So the dlc is a few rooms and one new boss. Then next week the boss powers up, this happens over 4 weeks. So a quarter of a £25 season pass is one boss.

They accidentally leaked all 4 versions of the boss yesterday. Then backtracked. So they are deliberately holding back content that is ready to go.

The water power is essential to do higher levels as the chaos level has now been increased to 35 for everyone. So using water then ice is basically the new meta.

Also you can fight the dlc boss, collect the loot, use the reign of arrows shotgun to kill yourself, then you respawn, kill it again, collect loot, then kill yourself and do it until all loot is collected. No need to do rooms before boss so you can get end game loot in 30 seconds forever.

I'm currently chaos level 21. Melting bosses and looking for better loot. But the new top level loot is only unlocked at chaos level 35. This is going to take a while.
