Titanfall 2 | TF Battle Royale releasing Monday?

Source 2 maybe? Anything but Source 1, the XBO version looked like a bog standard PS360 game.

Well at least it will actually be in full HD on a console this time...

I really loved the first one even though it was nowt special but once I started struggling to actually find any games it got uninstalled :cry:

I think Microsoft have made a mistake by not going all out to secure this as an Xbox/PC only game. Putting it into a three way rotation with Gears and Halo could have helped keep all three franchises fresher.


I wonder will the PS4 version use Azure?

Brought it for a tenner a few months ago. Been loving it, great to jump in for an hour or so. The traversal is a highlight, some of the moves you can pull off are great. Hopefully you can tell the pilots apart from the bots more in the sequel. Don't care about any campaign.

Expect it'll be out March 2017.

Agree with everything here. Was really hyped to play Titanfall before got Xbox One, got it in that £10 sale ages ago. Must have played it for about 4-5 hours max, feel cheated even at that price. Not much to it really with no feelings to go back to it.

Zero campaign is just stupid as well.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was one of the guys on IGN claiming you can't tell the difference between 1080p and 720p on a screen less than 50 inches.

I'm not sure how a single player campaign would work. I mean, you shoot people for a bit, get a titan, and then...well, no AI would be good enough to blow you up. Unless you get in a Titan at scripted places and they throw 5 enemy Titans at you or something. I'm not sure how they could put co-op in that isn't simply the horde mode they have currently.
Re: the game in general, good but not great. There are loads of modes to increase longevity but right now there's literally nobody playing them, so it's really Attrition, the Conquest-esque one or the horde one. The player base surge will help massively with this.

Respawn said sequel would be multi platform eons ago, it was clear TF1 was exclusive, I think it's great that PS4 owners get to play it, they will need to boost it up somewhat but as mafro said, a great debut for a series that can only get better.

The first game had a single player campaign that was cut due to time constraints and funding. There's videos, plot synopsis and tons of concept art of it in that Final Hours app Geoff Keighley did with Respawn. It looked pretty interesting and, given that this game was from a lot of the same team that did MW1 and 2 which both had great campaigns, it's not beyond the realms of possibility for them to make a good single player based around the elements introduced in the first game along with plenty of the big set piece moments the developers are famed for.

Last game was multiplatform too, and unless I've mssed it, I don't see any specific mention of PS4/other home consoles. So they still have wriggle room to make it exclusive.
