Got this as a Christmas present on PC. Took some time away from the great campaign to dive into the multiplayer and I just can't get into it. Properly bouncing off it.

Feels like I can't hit anything and I'm finding the maps claustrophobic and confusing, rarely ending up on the winning team. Surely there's a point it'll all click? :(

Might just complete the campaign and move on to something like Overwatch.

Quick question - would this game be ok for a 12 year old (my nephew)...

I notice it's "only" a 16...which means it's probably not as blood and gore as Call of Duty.

How does it compare in terms of adult content to Uncharted (which I think is ok for a 12 year old).

Basically, there's blood, and sometimes people explode into mists of red blood, but not in a way that is traumatising. More funny.

Thanks...seems ok. As long as my sister doesn't find out. :toot:

Yeah definitely not gory or anything and can't for the life of me remember there being any or not much at all bad language which was a change for a game nowadays.

My tips for setup would be to use the CAR submachine gun, it has very little recoil and pretty good range. If you're getting hit markers just hold the trigger down and don't ADS in close quarters, just shoot from the hip. Use stim so that you can quickly get away from battles that you're clearly losing and the grenade launcher anti Titan weapon to assist friendly Titans and quickly take down enemy Titans with low health.

As for general play don't run straight at the enemy, try to go round the outskirts of the map and kill the AI, if you're not getting killed and killing the AI you're a benefit to the team. Hopefully the layout of the maps will become more familiar and you'll get a better idea of where enemies are likely to be. To be honest I don't think knowing the map layout is as important as using the minimap, there are so many ways to get from A to B that it's better to have an idea which direction the enemies are and try to either flank them or get out of harm's way.

Cheers Hime, I've got into it a little more but I think it'll ultimately go down as a fun distraction than the big timesink multiplayer I thought it might.

Did anyone play the single player on hard? This isn't doing anything for me at the moment and I'm wondering if the cheap deaths are ruining my enjoyment.

I played it on hard. How are the deaths cheap? You have invisibility, if you get out of position just use that.

Maybe cheap is the wrong word, it can be a bit annoying at times. I just did the level with time travel which was pretty cool but so far I'd say I enjoyed Infinite Warfare's single player more than this.

The free DLC they were boasting about has been pretty underwhelming so far. Haven't payed this in ages.

Picked this up while its on sale on Xbox Live at the minute, finsihed the single player just, and it was a hell of a lot of fun! The time jumping mission especially was stupidly good

More free updates, including two maps, two Fire levels and a new Titan. Plenty of gameplay enhancements, too.

It's amazing to think that the game gained so many positive assessments in reviews, been sold at a discounted price on many occasions, has free map updates (i.e. no forty quid pass) and yet has struggled to sell. Sure, it released at a ridiculous time (the week between CoD and Battlefield) but I'd have thought it would have done alright since then.
