Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1&2 | PS4/PS5/XBO/XBS/Switch/EGS | September 4th 2020

I've completed about 400 challenges now with only 4 more videos to unlock. Next, I think I'm going to complete a few more platinum scores before focusing on completing more of the skater specific challenges.

The gameplay loop is just so satisfying that any excuse to play just a little more, complete another challenge here or there, means that it'll be a long time before I've had my fill of this. I'll never unlock the 100K or 10hr trick challenges but I'll certainly be playing for a long time to come.

This would certainly be in my GotY shortlist for 2020, if I was a person who made those kind of lists.

They dont make them like this anymore do they? Great game.

100% THPS1 this morning and I'm currently about 93% on THPS2, just need a few more objectives to unlock Skater Haven level.
Even though I'm nearing the end I'm still having a complete blast with it, I love going back to the areas and exploring and finding all the gaps, very addicting gameplay.

I want a Switch port, if it's possible.

Just a quick bit of advice Dr Who - you can do all the gaps in free skate mode so you're not encumbered with the time limit! I didn't realise and made a right bastard of it. :lol:

Finally got the hidden tape on the NY level, hard as nails that was, and i have no idea how to access the roof of the that building (so i can jump the gap) in school 2.

There are two kicker ramps leading up to each building that you can jump up when you upgrade your ollie stats a little. It's not the big building across from the gym, it's the two smaller ones near the far end of the level.

The NYC hidden tape is a pain in the ass. I found it best to go slowly across the first rebar and then hold left and Y as I jumped to try and get onto the second rebar.

100% both games and got all skill points for a Pro Skater.

Is the multiplayer game of Horse split screen only?

Was a cracking documentary on THPS on Sky just now, not sure how old it was but worth tracking down as it was cheery and entertaining and fun.

I've just recorded this. Looking forward to watching!

Been playing this for a week and feel like I'm getting the hang of stuff now, but it's going to take a while before I git gud! So satisfying racking up a big score and actually landing it. Tend to stick to the grinding as I'm not to hot with the air tricks.

Also, whoever it was in here who mentioned about using the buttons to switch between the grinding tricks - thank you! :toot:

Think I will start this over the weekend. I wonder if I can remember my 1,000,000+ point Marseille line from the THPS2 demo :think:

Finally finished this last night (well, all objectives in the campaign).

Now to master the speed run mode! Trying to get my Warehouse time below two minutes.

Started watching this last night, it's really good.

I'm a bit overwhelmed by the amount of content here, bloody hell. Beat THPS as Tony Hawk aside from 2 goals which I will clean up tonight, then to move on to THPS2 and then strawberry float knows what with all the challenges, gaps, secrets, completing the games as every character etc...

You don't have to complete the game with every character - just find all the stat points and do their set of challenges (which, tbf, you can do in about forty minutes).

Been trying to get into the top 300 on Warehouse (PC version) for a few days now. Finally managed it with a score of 23,984,042. Quite pleased with that.

Nice one! I just managed to get a sub 1 minute speed run on Warehouse - need to tidy the line up a bit.

If only 9 year old me could see how much better I got at Tony Hawks :lol:

I've done 8/11 of the hard speedruns. I just can't find a line for Philadelphia. I was 50th on the Bone leaderboards for School II at one point - not sure where I'll be now but I was bloody pleased with it.

Went back tonight to clear up a few of the challenges and have more or less finished the skater specific challenges. Just got three to finish off the stat points with, and need to combine Tony Hawk's four special moves into one combo because you need air upgrades to get both of the vert specials out. Everyone else's is really easy.

Overall I've done 610/714, and will be on about 630 once I finish all the remaining skater challenges. I don't foresee me finishing too many more after that, maybe some of the platinums and I'll try and do the rest of the hard get theres, but I'm getting quite close to my level now I think.

Nice. I'm still playing it for an hour here or there. Completed all the individual skater challenges last week.
