I just finished THPS2 last night with Tony fully statted. However, there's one Vicarious Visions logo that I've missed somewhere, so gonna have to hunt that down!

Finally beat THPS2 with Tony Hawk last night.

I have noticed there seems to be a "Solo Tour" option for every character, seemingly with the same objectives as the main mode. Have I got to be complete that with Tony Hawk too? I've already done the objectives I'm the main mode. As if there's not enough to this game already :dread:

Does it tell you anywhere in the game which levels you have/haven't got these on? I have found a lot but presumably not all of them...

I couldn't find anywhere that tells you. I remembered most from memory, but had to take a quick skite around each level to make sure.

Also, yes, it does look like you have to complete with Tony again, which seems a bit strange; you'd think it would carry over!

The main game mode objectives are done when they’re done for the first time, every skater has to build up their own stat points and complete a set of objectives(which is usually to hit certain types of gap, do all specials and in one combo, maybe get a medal and some score challenges). Each set can be done in about 25 minutes.

Achieved a few more platinum scores during my lunch break and now my thumb is sore and my fingers are like jelly :oops:

Hehe, yeah, that was me the other night when I got my first million point combo!

Guessing I wasnt the only one trying to break into the skate shop in the tutorial.

Next gen version announced for PS5 and Xbox Series. Graphical upgrades and native 4K at 60fps or 1080p at 120fps. It also supports "spatial audio".

Free for those with the Digital Deluxe Edition, $10 upgrade for everyone else. Launches 26th March.

Nice. I just got the All Gaps trophy last week but I'll probably pump a few more hours into it when the next-gen version arrives.

Likelihood of this coming to GamePass?

I'd say pretty high, but not for a while.

I was expecting a THPS 3+4 to have been announced by now, given the numbers this did.

On the challenges note - I did all of the skater specific ones and ended up stopping with about 80 left to go, mostly because they were utterly ludicrous. Stuff like scoring 20m points in a 2 minute run on some levels, and a few of the Got There challenges, which I understand have been switched about a bit since I last played.

I remember watching people ace 3 and 4 on the old PSM2 magazine DVD. They were just insanely good at it in a way I could never hope to replicate.

I don't think my TV can even do 120fps :lol:

I'm sure that option was greyed out when I played DMC5.

I'm really excited to see what they do with the DualSense. If they manage something like Astro where you can feel the different surfaces under your wheels (gravel, smooth floors, pavement cracks, etc) it'll be really amazing.

Very tempted to get it on Switch even though I've already got in on PS4.

Reminder that the next gen update is out now. I'm downloading it now and will probably try to get all the "Get There" challenges.

Those challenges are straight up insane. I can’t even begin to get close to some of them.

Apparently if you own the physical version on XBox you can't upgrade, but the PS4 physical version can be upgraded. :fp:
