Probably picking the physical version of this some time after it comes out. Already played the PS3 versions but the upgrades seem nice as well as the restored content for Y3. Don't particularly like that one of the main actors in Y4 was replaced but oh well.

Played the original 1-5 and probably starting Yakuza 0 soon after a bit of a break from the series. Then I guess 6 and the Kiwamis after that.

I'm going through the series in narrative order, up to Kiwami 2 at the moment so will pick this collection up digitally once I (eventually) finish it. I wish I'd gotten into this series sooner as it is absolutely incredible and each game puts loads of open world action rpgs to shame with the sheer density, depth and variety of stuff to do.

I loved Yakuza 0 and since I have Kiwami courtesy of PS+ I should really get it played.

Same. I should get back playing Kiwami 1. Have 2 and 6 in my PS library (have 0 as well but I finished that.) and refuse to buy 3/4/5 UNTIl I finish Kiwami 1 and 2.

Gio Corsi left Sony :( (He had a hand in convincing Sega to bring the series back west after Dead Souls bombed.)

Thats a shame, but i am sure he wasn’t the main reason yakuza came to the west again. I do respect what he did though.

I didn't say it was all him.

I bought it a couple of weeks ago and completely forgot about it until it turned up on Tuesday!

The Kiwami's have clearly spoiled me, because Yakuza 3 feels janky as strawberry float. :slol:

Kiryu having his OWN BLOG in Yakuza 3 is still the funniest thing.

Got my physical copy from Argos alas it wasn't the edition that came with the PS3 case, but I'm not that bothered.
Going through Yakuza 3 and it certainly feels dated coming straight from Kiwami 2 but the story is pretty good.

Is 5 up for download now? I've fallen behind schedule and haven't started 4 yet. I thought I'd have finished it well ahead of 5's release. :fp:

Hello dears. Is Yakuza 0 the right place to start with this series?
