This is really exciting. Yakuza has been one of my favourite franchises ever since the original on the PS2 and it's amazing how the quality and game size(s) haven't dipped despite the sequels/remakes coming out quicker and quicker.
Hopefully the three games appear on a compilation of some kind. It will be nice to have a physical copy of Yakuza 5 in any case since it was digital-only on the PS3. I still have all of my original PS2/PS3 copies of the older games but this is a series where I'd happily buy them again regardless.
Y3 is a superb game but it was censored in some respects for the West. Yakuza 4 was an amazing game and the multiple characters with their own fighting styles/missions worked so much better than I expected - the finale was absolutely epic.
Still around 75% of the way through Yakuza 5 as I happened to be playing it right when I had a brief loss of interest in gaming. Need to get back to that and then get onto the PS4 sequels that I've been buying and stacking up in readiness.
Excited to see Yakuza 0 coming to PC tomorrow. It's a pleasant surprise since the series rarely goes outside Sony consoles, and Yakuza 0 seems like a good starting point for me as someone who has never played the series before.
If you'd like to see Yakuza 0 in action on PC, our own Jazzem is gonna showcase it in a live stream tomorrow (Wednesday) evening. Click here to find out more.
Great stuff, SoK! The collection is out now on the PS Store and priced at £49.99. You get Yakuza 3 now, with 4 launching on 29 October and 5 available on 11 February.
I believe these are pretty basic remasters rather than matching the upgrading work seen on Yakuza Kiwami 1 and 2, but it's still lovely to see the full Yakuza range on the PS4.
Pay full-price now, get full package on FEB 11, 2020 makes me less hyped. But I was going to wait for the physical edition anyway. (I really don't get the point of that PS3 case )

Yakuza is now my legit favourite gaming series ever and I've only done 0 and Kiwami. Will keep an eye on the price for this once I've finished Kiwami 2.
Finally. Though a few months ago I got impatient and got Yakuzas 3-5 on PS3. Don't regret the decision and think the games have aged okay - especially 4 and 5. Also nice to play the original version of 4 without the major actor switch of one of the lead characters.
That said, a lot of content was cut from the original Yakuza 3 localisation so I'll be looking forward to checking out what I missed when I eventually get the remasters. But most likely on PS5 or PC when that eventually happens. Hopefully there'll be a version of Yakuza 6 that runs at 60fps by that point as well.
