Would I get full value or pre-owned price?

Pre-Owned I think they always open it to make sure it's not just a case which has been shrink wrapped.

I think game/gamestation won't take a sealed copy as a trade in. They will make you unwrap it first.

When I bought my slim PS3 from GAME I wanted to swap one of the bundled games for InFamous as I already owned all of the games they were bundling with it. They woudn't do a straight swap even though they were selling InFamous for the same price as the bundled games. They would only give me pre-owned price for the bundled game even though it was brand new and hadn't even left the shop.

I thought it was ridiculous and almost went somewhere else, but as it was only a couple of quid difference I eventually just accepted their stupid policy.

Most shops won't take in sealed games as it could be stolen stock.

You could try taking it to Argos, they often let you return something without a receipt. :shifty:
