Steam - Nintendo

"Transiruby" is a metroidvania game where you explore the world as a cyborg protagonist named Siruby. Slash and shoot your way to reveal its hidden secrets!

A strange continent from a different dimension has suddenly appeared… and Siruby, a young cyborg traveling space just happens to pass by. Taking her trusty AI partner “Ne-com” with her, she sets out to explore this unknown land.

Meet other characters such as “Yamato”, an unusual cyborg girl and “Douglas” the treasure hunter as you follow Siruby through her adventure.

A new metroidvania game by Skipmore, the creators of “Kamiko” and “Fairune”!

Expect the same high quality action… with a dash of adventure and puzzle-solving.

+ Quick, stress-free sword action
+ Collect golden “Tranchips” to open doors to the next stage!
+ Freeze enemies using an element gun to use them as a foothold!
+ Perfect balance of puzzles and riddles accent the game!
+ Siruby is a cyborg, so she can transform into a plane and a motorbike!

Out today on Switch!

I've been excited for this as a big fan of the Fairune games and having enjoyed Kamiko too (which you may remember for being one of the earliest eshop games on the Switch). I've played the opening and am definitely not disappointed! The art and music are typically great and it plays very smoothly.

Anyone else interested? Heard of this until this thread? Or more likely enjoyed Kamiko and might give this a wishlist?

Trailer and info seem interesting, but for me the aesthetic is a key factor in my enjoyment of a Metroidvania type game and I'm not really liking the design/style this is going for. :|

Might take a punt if it's cheap

Jenuall doesn't like the aesthetic - aesthetic is good confirmed :datass:

But if you like Metroidvanias to have an oppressive atmosphere, this isn't that. It's a very breezy game that isn't too concerned with establishing plot or place. It's very similar to Fairune and Kamiko in that regard - and in general as Skipmore likes to reuse enemy designs and has a recognisable house style. The script in this is quite self-aware of being a metroidvania too.

Remember when we were on the same page about Super Mario World's aesthetic - what happened to us OR?!

It does sound interesting so I'm not dismissing it outright, but given I have about six billion games in my backlog I'm also not going to suggest I'll be jumping on it any time soon!

I got stuck in Fairune 2. The games can be a little obtuse but I like how simple they are.

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

I like the look of the game in that trailer vid! Have you had a chance to play any more yet, Orange?

Yeah for sure. Fairune is very puzzle focused, this game much less so - there have been puzzles, but much more obvious and immediate in solution than how Fairune takes things.

Yeah I've got a ways in, two bosses down and just unlocked the ability to transform into a bike 8-)

Naturally the bike lets you drive over water, like what bikes do

Game looks decent enough (Metroid meets Alex Kidd) but that name is an abomination.

Finished in 5h30, 100% in 8h. Really enjoyed it!

Need to do another playthrough now for a slightly alternate ending.

Just got a physical version of this from Super Rare Games, it looks lovely

First time using SRG, the advantage of them being UK based and selling a fixed run after it has been printed meant it arrived not long after I ordered it, which was a surprise when I'm used to Limited Run Games waits of countless months for manufacturing and shipping.

I wasn't aware at the time but SRG previously did a Fairune Collection physical edition, would love to get it someday but it's probably not going to happen :(

Yeah SRG are great, that's where I got my copy of Fast RMX from. Really hope they do more titles that appeal to me.

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.
