I have looked and it seems it may just be easier to get a uber, I did think the tram might have gone there but it doesn’t look like it does

Id get a cab, its only 20 mins up the motorway from the airport

there is deffo gonna be bus links though I used them so idk, train doesnt run directly to it though

the train would get you directly into piccadilly where there is fuckloads to do, although not as ostentatious as trafford

The way I see it being single is infinitely better than being with someone you don't get along with, even if it's a it daunting to make the break. A bad relationship can sometimes be all too comfortable. Good luck out there.

Stay safe Richard. You made the right (albeit very difficult) decision. It will be hard but you'll get through it. Sending love.

I looked at the prices and return in a cab would be around £40 plus, I am at the moment on a train to Piccadilly (return £5) and then I will get a bus ticket (day pass under £5) so if I have time I say see some of the centre

Richard I don’t know your personal history but I do know a break after being with someone for so long is heartbreaking- even if you are the one who initiated it. It’s such a big life change especially as you stop talking to the person you used to speak to the most.
It’s completely normal for men to be sad and grieve. You will adjust and things will get better. Honest!

Now the title of this thread is a bit clickbait, going to America is a big adventure - I want to see pictures. And if you go to Galaxies Edge get yourself one of those strawberry floating ridiculously expensive lightsabers.

Thank you, there will be photos galore!

I’m on the 250 bus so having a bit of a tour around Manchester, I wanted to go to the Trafford centre to visit the Apple store and the Virgin Holidays shop, after I will look for some museums or art galleries

I have never really had Japanese food but at the moment I can’t really eat, I tried eating breakfast this morning at the hotel (which all looked really nice) but I just couldn’t eat anything, it’s not at all like me because I can normally eat and eat, I’m in the Trafford centre just sat on a bench not knowing what to do, I might try and drink something, I feel like I don’t fit in, I’m trying not to cry, I feel like a nobody (which reading back sounds stupid because I have never been a “somebody” it’s just all overwhelming from living a sheltered few years in a village with someone pretty much 24/7 to be in a large city alone, it would be so much simpler if I could have a brain reset to 13 years ago, I should have called this thread “Richard Moaning”

On a lighter note I went to the Apple shop and got a phone holder for the car so I can use it as a sat nav

There's a Namco arcade in the Trafford centre (If I remember correctly, it's been a while) that's pretty decent.

Have you thought about what might happen if you like the US more than you like the UK?

All the best, it takes balls to make a big decision like that, hope you have a good time and get whatever it is that you need or want from your trip!

I could never like you lot more than I love my country :D

If that’s the case I have a “Make America Great Britain Again” T-shirt and I shall commence my campaign

Today is travel day, I’m at the airport and gone through security, I must not look that dodgy because everyone else seemed to have been patted down (or what ever the correct term is) which was surprising because I looked guilty of something as since leaving my partner I have been shaking in both hands but my left hand is really quite bad and noticeable

Edit - I’m in the lounge and this guy keeps sitting next to me playing this Irish truck program really loud on his tablet, I really hope he’s not on my plane or even worse next to me, “wow 1980 Volvo with 180 horse power, look at it go”

I don't know the backstory of this but if this thread doesn't end with you having a great time at Disney Orlando with Mickey Mouse ears on your head then it has all been for nothing.
