Excellent portrayal of an experience that goes beyond traumatic. I'd go so far as to say it's probably the most harrowing representation of a rape I've seen in many, many years. Not so much in the event itself, but the slowly unfolding horror that comes afterwards, both in the hospital and at home.

Any ideas on how the ratings for the second season are looking?

2x01- 0.61 million
2x02 0.56 million

Treme's on HBO though which is less ratings focused than network TV so it might get a season 3.

The news on whether there will be a season 3 has been announced.

Treme is great and I'm glad it looks good for season 3. Does bother me that shows like Two & A Half Men get gangbuster numbers and then something as good as Treme gets so little love (in viewers, obviously not true for the critics).

Treme has an unreal ability to create characters I want to be friends with. Bloody love this show.
