This really is one of the best shows around. From week to week, it never disappoints.

Good finale.

So glad this is getting a third season. Probably my favorite current show.

I love this show like a chubby child loves cake. It's like being hugged by all the good bits of America.

Season finale was outstanding. Wasn't expecting a 90 minute episode either, so that was a nice surprise. Ladonna knocked it out of the park. Anyone feel like this episode was written as the end of the show, not just the season? They wrapped up practically everything that happened this season. And the extra 30 minutes runtime along with the musical montage at the end gave off that impression, too.

So glad it's getting another season.

Noticeably absent from HBO’s recent spring premiere dates announcement was any mention of Treme, the plucky little David Simon show about Hurricane Katrina survivors that continues to weather its own storm of viewer indifference.

And today Dave Walker at New Orleans’ Times-Picayune confirms what most had inferred by that omission: HBO has bumped the show’s third-season premiere to a date yet to be determined in the fall. As HitFix’s Alan Sepinwall notes, the show can’t air in the summer—because, like your wife, that’s when HBO gets obsessed with True Blood—which leaves the fall and a potential pairing with Boardwalk Empire. Although, with Aaron Sorkin’s Newsroom also expected to debut then, it’s also possible that Treme may become the rare HBO original series not to air on its specially designated Sunday night. But as is always the case, those of us among the low-rated show’s fans will just be grateful that the network continues to air it at all.

Took my netbook with me down to London yesterday so I could watch the second episode. Wise decision.

You know what the best thing about this show is? It's so gentle, and I honestly can't think of any other show around at the moment I'd describe using that word. All of the characters who are still around from season one are all doing their own thing, and all of it is treated with an equal amount of care and attention. It's gradually turned into this careful, multi-layered celebration of a people and a culture using the sensibilities of the soap opera, and I never want it to end.

The singing practice scene at the end of the second episode

Probably the most perfect summation of the show I've read.

The way HBO have treated this show almost makes up the cancellation of In Treatment. almost

Episode 2 was great.
