LaDonna's scene with Delmond was a highlight too I thought.

The metal gig was interesting, as brief as it was, still cool to see the show deal with a different genre of music.

Is anyone else's download for this week's ep much bigger than usual? Is it a longer episode this week?

Yeah, it was an hour and 10 minutes this week. Mardi Gras episode.

strawberry float, what a great episode this week.

I think Annie's story is the only part of the season I haven't really enjoyed. She's become increasingly irritating, used to really like her. Yes Davis is a bit of knob but stop treating him like gooseberry fool. :x

Also, Anthony Anderson is awesome.

Anthony Anderson is indeed great. Agree about Annie too. Haven't enjoyed her story at all this season. Chief :( LaDonna :( Something bad's gonna happen, I know it.

LaDonna can't catch a strawberry floating break, man. :(

No sympathy for Davis at all at this point though. Whiny piece of gooseberry fool.

He and his woman both. It's been a very tedious storyline.

This thread is a hive of activity. Just watched the finale. What a show. Glad that most got a happy ending. Poor La Donna, though. Nothing goes her way whatsoever. Glad to see the back of the Anne/Davis saga.

David Morse is blates the best actor/character on the show.

Great finale.

Only five more episodes. :(

Apparently I missed the penultimate episode. I learned this when I watched the finale's "Previously on Treme" and LaDonna's bar burned down. :(

Going to miss Treme when it's gone. I imagine I'll have the same hollow feeling you get when you have to put a pet down. Anyone know how many episodes it gets?

5 episodes throughout the 5 Sundays in December. Sounds like they're getting rid of it at a time when they know nobody will be watching. Not that it matters at this point, anyway. Should probably be grateful it got this far at all!

Why do I have the feeling that they are going to break my heart and kill off someone special? I'd be happy for Nelson to go, the slimy gooseberry fool, but I couldn't cope with something happening to Antoine, Toni or Annie. Not saying I want a fairytale ending, as that wouldn't be right, just no brutality.

I worry for Colson. He's already hated by just about everyone in his job. I actually didn't think he'd make it out of last season. Such a great character and David Morse is a terrific actor.
