I worry for Colson. He's already hated by just about everyone in his job. I actually didn't think he'd make it out of last season. Such a great character and David Morse is a terrific actor.

Eek! You have a good point, he is probably in the most danger and his death is more pain on Toni as well.

Such a heartbreaking episode. And I imagine it's only going to become even more so in the remaining 3 episodes. What a strawberry floating show, man.

We're on the 4th and final which is just five episodes long. 3 to go.

I echo the fear for the characters that has already been expressed in this thread :dread:

This show

I'm trying as much as possible to savour each episode, knowing the end is fast approaching. Latest episode was top notch.

Actually terrified for Colson, now. Something is DEFINITELY gonna happen to him. And The Chief, too. You just know he's gonna die in the final episode and it'll be devastating. :(

I can't be the only one who doesn't give a gooseberry fool about Annie's character? Her story is so completely detached from the rest of the show, it's difficult to care.

strawberry float Heartbreaking episode. :( In a way I'm glad that it happened an episode early, as next week can be a happier send off. RIP in peace Chief.

Still don't care about Annie, though.

I don't really care about Annie either. I'd much rather we'd have gotten to check in with Sonny instead, although his arc wrapped up pretty nicely. It was however great to see LP again, didn't think they'd have time to squeeze him in.

Long live the Chief. :(

It was a great finish, so many nice little moments. Good interview with David Simon about it and his feelings on TV in general here.

Good ending. Davis was great. Even Annie's story got interesting in the final episode. And Coulson got away without any worry. Still a bittersweet ending for him, though.

Wonderful show and it will be missed.

Resurrecting this thread back from the dead to say we've been watching this from start to finish for the first time I've over the past few months.

Absolutely loved it  Big lovers of music, so it was so nice to watch something which totally revolves around it. The strawberry floating jazz bits though, bloody awful :dread: If I couldn't stand jazz before, those bits did nothing to change my mind.

Antoine   What a toe rag. Loved his training of the band bits.
John Goodman :(
LaDonna  She had a rough old time throughout. What an ass kicker.
Annie, Jesus that was a drawn out and tedious storyline. Funny to see her asserting herself in the studio right at the end though.
Sunny, what a bellend.
Big chief   :( Probably my favourite character, the miserable bastard
Terry, I was always worried he'd be bumped off so it was great he managed to survive it.
Toni - place your bets how many times she'll either out on or take off her glasses in a single scene. I'm sure there's a drinking game in there somewhere.
Janet, interesting in small doses, but got waaaaay too much story time
Davis  :fp: What a total and utter plonker. His heart was usually in the right place though.

We really want to go to new Orleans now, so are planning to do a few days there as part of a bigger trip some day.
