That's pretty funny, if a bit sad that he was sat in there waiting for kids to turn up.

Funny? No.

strawberry floating terrifying and mentally scarring? Yes.

I remember going trick or treating when I was 9 or 10 we knocked on one door and got a rant from a scary old woman saying one day we are going to kill someone with our Halloween costumes and pestering them. Then starting going on about the government and how police should roam the street and arrest all trick or treaters. Then slammed the door in our faces. We left with empty candy bags and just a little bit disturbed.

I go and spend halloween at my nan's she lives in a converted church and still have the graves in her front garden so we don't really get trick or treaters me and my brother hide behind the graves and scare anyone who comes near it's great fun :D

 Awesome.

I'm with you actually. I'd probably give 'em something, but clearly state that this means they can't come back again, even on Halloween.

Never celebrated Halloween myself. Pile of gooseberry fool. Making too much effort with fancy dress is just lame beyond belief.

I had an experience similar to Zenigame when I was living in the states. Some asshole sat on his rocking chair dressed up as something spooky, but it looked really fake.

So I walk upto the door and the person in the chair comes alive and runs at me :( Bricks were shat.

Halloween in America was amazing, I used to be able to fill two big bags with sweets. Om nom nom.

Ah, the old "Pretend to be a dummy and sit still in a chair then scare the strawberry floating gooseberry fool out of children when the approach" trick.

Yep. Fell for that one several times too. strawberry floating yanks and their child scaring ways. But like you said you got a lot of sweets which just about made up for the years of haunting dreams and therapy.
