I imagine learning them would transfer to real life skill, but then the trick would be finding someone else to play against

Oh, I still don't know how to play them! My girlfriend learned mahjong while she was playing 0, and very kindly sat through all the games on my playthrough too!

Luckily a lot of the other gambling games in Yakuza are easy enough to brute force through, just quitting and restarting whenever you've made a profit! :slol:

I don't think I've ever gotten every single achievement in a game, I simply don't care about them enough to bother painstakingly collecting them all.

The only time I've every got caught on 'Achievements' is that ridiculous idle game 'Cookie Clicker', which I still have on in the background on my PC to this day. It's a sober reminder that getting hooked on achievements (for me) will come to no good! I can't give it up now.

How many cookies have you got?

I did manage to give up Clicker Heroes. I'm proud of me.

I'm also in the Cookie Clicker club, still. Had it running on my parents' PC for over 6 years now. Think I'm at about 10 tredecillion.

I also installed the Android beta a few weeks ago. Only 10 quintillion on that one :slol:

Achievements don’t ruin gaming for me. It’s nice when I unlock one but it is very rare that I will bother going out of my way to get every achievement or trophy in a game.

I have started taking more notice of the Xbox rewards though and that often demands achievement unlocking in order to get points. They are usually pretty simple though (“unlock an achievement in any of these 100 games!”) so if am trying to earn points then it usually takes less time (far far far less!) than downloading the game.
