I can't muster interest for anyone but Jess.

I enjoyed episode four a lot. It had a good mixture of humour and more serious moments, both handled quite well, and the flashbacks were actually interesting for once.

So apparently last night's episode was awful (like most of the season in general) :dread:

Will it stoop to Dexter levels for the finale?

While it was bad, I can't imagine anything sinking as low as the Dexter finale ever again. I skipped so much of this episode.

I especially liked the bit where Andy officiated at the wedding of the woman who murdered his daughters. And Jason was best man.

It wasn't Dexter bad but it was bad.

Eric and Pam are truly the only saving graces of this show.

Eurrrgh, I should have given up on this show years ago, wasn't Dexter levels of bad but absolutely wasn't worth my time.

Season finale was gooseberry fool, final season was gooseberry fool, last few seasons were gooseberry fool. The premise is interesting but too many bad decisions were made (Tara, werewolves, focusing on the boring humans) with story and character progression.

Just caught up and finished it.

Definitely not Dexter-bad but certainly not good at all. Pam and Eric had good final moments, which is really all I was realistically hoping for.

Just got round to watching the last episode. So disappointing, that felt like the worst episode of the whole show. But then the last series felt like the worst series of the whole show so a fitting end I guess.

Yes?

Nelsan Ellis, the actor who starred in HBO's True Blood as Lafayette Reynolds, has died, his manager Emily Gerson Saines, told The Hollywood Reporter.

He was 39.

"Nelsan has passed away after complications with heart failure," Saines said. "He was a great talent, and his words and presence will be forever missed."

On True Blood, Lafayette was a short order cook at Merlotte's. In the books, he was killed off, but because Ellis made him such an enjoyable character, he survived in the series.

"We were extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Nelsan Ellis," HBO said in a statement. "Nelsan was a long-time member of the HBO family whose groundbreaking portrayal of Lafayette will be remembered fondly within the overall legacy of True Blood. Nelsan will be dearly missed by his fans and all of us at HBO."

He was great as Lafayette. 39 is no age to go. :(
