True Blood is an American television drama series created and produced by Alan Ball. It is based on The Southern Vampire Mysteries series of novels by Charlaine Harris, and details the co-existence of vampires and humans in Bon Temps, a fictional, small town in the state of Louisiana. The series centers on Sookie Stackhouse (played by actress Anna Paquin), a telepathic waitress at a bar, who falls in love with vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer). Also, it consist of badass mummy strawberry floaters, as opposed to that Twilight bollocks.

The last season was a big disappointment I thought but i'll definitely give this one a try. I'll stop watching if it hasn't improved though.

I heard this season is more Eric focused. I am intrigued by this.

The show wastes far too much time on awful characters. Does anyone really give two gooseberry fools about Arlene or Tara? So much wasted screentime on total character blackholes.

Last season was pretty rubbish. I'll give this season a go, but if it's no better I'll happily drop it. I've never been in love with the show anyway and Eric and Godric are the only characters I found interesting. Sookie has her moments too, I suppose.

Plus she gets her boobs out a fair bit which doesn't hurt :shifty:

That was...... weird. Especially the beginning.

And the cast seems to have multiplied exponentially.

Tara is also as annoying as ever.

I know.

Writer 1: What shall we do with Tara this season?

Writer 2: Good question. I feel we need to shake things up. Give her more of an edge and make her a bit more badass

Writer 1: How about we make her an MMA cage fighter? MMA is all the rage right now.

Writer 2: I like it... but it's missing something....

Writer 3: ...... a LESBIAN MMA fighter?

*high fives all round*

Yeah that was pretty strange. I hope this season has a bit more direction than last season but it's not looking likely judging by that. Tara's new story, what the actual strawberry float? :fp:

Executive producer Alan Ball "attempts" to explain it here: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-f ... lan-205729

He also explains the reason for the time jump, among other things: http://www.tvline.com/2011/06/true-bloo ... -spoilers/

I gave up after episode 1 of season 3, glad to hear I didn't miss much and from what I read about S4 it doesn't sound like it's going to suddenly get better.

I love this show. Was hooked from start to finish. Will download episode 1 of season 4. Sure it's not up there with Breaking bad, Game of thrones etc but this is completely different and suits my needs.

True Blood
