Underwhelming teaser. Everything about it felt off to me. Am I being grouchy and negative or is that a shared view?

And I'm positive regarding the casting. Everyone was incredibly down on McConaughey for a long time and look what happened. Granted, it won't always happen but I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt here.

Fairly average teaser but I don't need anything to convince me to watch. Have little doubt it'll be great.

I've only watched the first two episodes of this so far, but damn I can't get enough of that intro music :datass:

Kelly Reilly is so hot

Vince Vaughan looks like his acting talents are being stretched just by staring at another man across a table

Vince Vaughn used to be able to act though. Vegas Baby. Maybe he can rediscover it. I hope so.

As for the trailer - its a slow burning detective drama. You can't do that justice in a 30 second clip. What makes the show gripping is the long scenes, great dialogue - with great monologues - and deep character development.

Anyone know if this is set in Louisiana again?

You can make a better teaser though.

Seriously, that was an awfully made trailer.

I really don't get the obsession with trailers. Trailers made the Phantom Menace look good.

Its set in an entirely different place (California) and has no reference to the previous season. Its almost like a brand new tv show just under the same name.

That's cool. But what about that snippet in the teaser where Colin Farrell sits down in what looks like the same interview room as in Season 1?

Or maybe i was just seeing things.

I would recommend Bloodline on Netflix for those missing S1 of this. Styling is very similar especially the photography. I'm only 2 episodes in but have liked it so far.

I might give that another try, I stopped watching at the Velma sex scene which is like 2 minutes in because the voiceover was annoying me

I don't know what this show is but you've sold it to me.

It's just the actress who played her in the live action films (the lead from Freaks and Geeks), just read that it's by the people behind Damages so it deserves another go

Watched season 1 all last week. Incredible stuff. Fantastic acting and a great storyline. I wasn't that impressed with the ending but that's partly down to it not being as fantastic as the previous episodes.
Season 2 has a lot to live up to.
