Agreed. Really enjoyed it.

Pulling out to the ocean? That was awesome. Every better since they obscured the fact that they were right beside the sea until it pulled out all the way. Granted, the three characters standing in a circle glowering at each other was a little cheesy but strawberry float it, they sold it.

Also, dat intro

...anyone?

Put me in the camp of hating the first episode. Over indulgent macho guff to the extreme. Poorly directed, scripted...rah rah rah...awful. And yet I still watched this week on the strength of season one alone no doubt. And it was much better. I like Vaughn but he can't handle lines supposed to be delivered with gravitas so the opening sequence fell flat on its face, but I think Farrell is solid and this episode actually introduced a narrative so well done writers room.

But that ending.

Holy gooseberry fool that ending!

Very slow episode but that final shot has me hooked on what happens next. I mean, speechless!

I do worry we have lost our best character though. Not sure the others can carry the show

Vaughan is pretty gooseberry fool in this, you can almost see him trying to grit every line hoping he'll get signed up for interstellar 2: space harder, but he's just that bit too wooden. That opening scene was supposed to be moving, but I just kept expecting a fart joke or something.

Dat ending, outa nowhere!

Gotta disagree about Vaughn, I'm totally buying it. It's not an outstanding performance but it's definitely at least good, admittedly perhaps in part because it's such a juxtaposition to the type roles you'd normally see him in.

Damn fine 2nd episode. Wow at that ending.

Yeah, Vaughan has stepped up to the plate in this. By no means perfect but far from terrible.

I like Vaughan, I'm not fully convinced of his character yet, but I agree it's far from bad etc. I think we'll see him pushed into an emotional rage or something.

I like Vaughn as well. As long as we can all agree that Taylor kitsch is the worst.

Do we think there's a chance he could still be alive? Casper had his nuts blown off and was tortured, same could be said on what happen. DARK, if that is the case

I reckon he must be dead. I would think we'll see much more of him in flashbacks now though.

Watched episode 1 last night and while not brilliant it was fairly enjoyable.

The sound was about 3 seconds out of sync on the version I downloaded and I couldn't work out how to fix it.

Stand about half a mile back from the TV, the video and audio should sync up at that distance.

Open in VLC, I think the keys F and G push the sound back or forward in miliseconds. I think it was exactly 2 seconds ahead in the version I had.

It was a different director for episode three, and it was the best episode to date I thought. Vaughan's actual acting skills definitely came through more and made Frank a far more believable character.

Lin wasn't getting the most out of the actors, he may be good at making things look nice but he doesn't push people to propel their performances as Janus Metz Pedersen did.

Back to Lin next week so we'll see what happens there.

Pretty meandering 4th episode with an incredible final 10 minutes which, judging by the preview, will change everything. Really looking forward to the rest of the season, now

I was pretty meh on the show so far really until that final scene, which was fantastic.
