Going around trying to get all the pages, and I've found some really sneaky secrets, all of which have dished out 50g achievements. A few of them were very Fez, and one of them was so much like a puzzle in the witness that I suspect it's in there as a tribute.

One more hero shrine to get and I'll probably go for the last boss.

I've restored My body now, just going around trying to find the hidden treasures, of which ive got 4, and it looks like there may be at lease 10 more to get. Decided to quit to the title screen for the first time in ages, maybe see if I can duplicate my save so if I do the last boss and it does soemthing like start the game again, at least I can load a previous save and carry on as I was.

. Good to hear that folk are enjoying this and, as it's on Game Pass, perhaps many more people will give it a go then otherwise might have been the case.

Between this and Death's Door Ad has certainly got his moneys worth from GP :lol:

I liked what I played of this so far, I'm a little lost but I'm sure ill get back to it (hopefully).

I’ve got this downloaded, really need to get back to Cyberpunk before starting something new though or I might end up just dropping Cyberpunk completely.

If you don't like being lost, you might not get on with it, but I love having to work out what to do next so it's been great. It's very similar to deaths door actually, but with some fez thrown in.

Is it as combat heavy as Death’s Door? I enjoyed the combat in that but as I posted in the thread for it, was not a fan of the ‘beat X waves of enemies to open the way’ segements that were far too common.

Definitely just going try/play this on Game Pass rather than wait for a potential Switch port down the line.

No waves and all enemies are visible and avoidable if you're quick enough. They do chase you through rooms though and killing gets you money which you do need.

That’s good to know, I wouldn’t have been that against the waves in Death’s Door if you didn’t have to trek to them each time, if it started you just outside them they wouldn’t have been as bad for myself.

Oh wow some of the hidden puzzles have been so satisfying to solve :wub:

For those that have finished the game, can you carry on after beating the last boss? Wondering if I should go and do that in case something else unlocks to aid with puzzle hunting, but fearing it clearing my save.

And done. I've got 18/20 fairies And I know where the last 2 are. Still missing a lot of hidden treasures though.

Got all manual pages and also both endings.

Such a great game. I've loved having to get a pen and paper out to sketch out puzzle solutions :wub:

Finished this last night, got both endings. I ended up looking up solutions to a couple of secrets/fairies because they were a bit too obtuse (or rather, I was), but like Victor, I really enjoyed mapping out the solutions on paper.

The mountain door in particular was a standout, although I did bang my head against the clue on page 9 for ages. It wasn't entirely my fault though, it turned out that the Gamepass version is bugged and sometimes doesn't show you the thing you need to find the clue! I booted up the xcloud version, and there it was!

I love the way every hidden pathway, every move and every secret technique is immediately available to you as long as you're in the know. Just last night, when I was doing some endgame clean up, I discovered you could use the fire rod in combination with the ice dagger, which results in a freezing shot that only costs the MP of one fire rod shot! I then realised I could have used it in all the hard-as-nails sections I'd limped through up to that point...

Very strong contender for GOTY for me, I'm tempted to dive straight back in and clean up the last two achievements. :wub:

How does this compare to Death's Door? Looks similar on first look.

I’ve just made a start on this today, first impressions are it looks lovely and seems very similar to Death’s Door in regards to the combat focusing on dodging and rolling away. As I’ve posted in the Game Pass thread I’ve only got a stick and found myself in the east forest which I’m not sure I should be in before finding a sword but it let me come here? Already died :lol:

Are the orange blobs you get from defeating enemies/finding your soul money or experience?

I love it that you find pages of the manual, does more of the in game text become translated as you progress in the game or find more pages? Or do we only ever get a limited amount of information to get us by?

Edit 2, I’m really loving this, the combat isn’t as tight as it is in Death’s Door but as you get a shield you can tank a few hits and strike when the chance arises, also I’ve looked up the accessibility options (which are always a good thing in my opinion) and there is a No Fail (invincibility) and no stamina reduction options, as I’m far from great at these games I’ve put the stamina option on (dare say it’ll invalidate some achievement down the line!) so I can easily defend more hits. Personally for myself, I’m preferring this to Death’s Door so far purely as this at least has enemies you don’t normally have to fight.

Been running around pretty aimlessly for a short time post opening the golden gate after striking both of the tuning fork towers, any hint where to go next? I’ve kind of run around a bit but not stumbled across the right path as of yet….

Do we think there's a decent chance this will come to Switch. Would love that. Either way, this coming to PS was one of the most exciting things to come out of the state of play.
