You can nullify the combat by turning on no fail mode if you didn’t know, I’ve not actually gone back to this since opening the golden door and then having no idea where to actually go.

I was hoping the PS announcement meant this was coming to Switch too :(

I don't want to play a walking simulator though, I'd just like the combat to be a bit less brutal, or for the controls to be more responsive.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

That’s why I put on the no stamina cost option, means you can block indefinitely while waiting for an opening, obviously this might not be appealing to yourself but I found it a lot better than the no fail mode option. Reckon when I eventually get back on this I’m going to have to use a guide to get me back on the path.

The no stamina thing is great. Turned it on and never looked back. This game punishes the strawberry float out of you for over rolling (increased HP drain).

I didn't like it that much.

And yes, the combat is super clunky. It lacks snappiness.

Got back on this earlier today and used a guide to get me back on track as I felt completely lost! I got the red key and I’m now on my way to get the green one (so just reached the great library), combat is getting worse in my opinion, it’s similar to Death’s Door but just so slow to roll and attack in comparison so just not as good, for the boss fights I’ve needed up just turning no death mode on once I’m nearly dead :fp: Both games seem to struggle with a lack of direction too in different ways, obviously this has a map (of sorts) but you’re given free reign over which direction to head in first, Death’s Door on the other hand points you in the direction quite well but is in dire need of a map.

Probably shouldn’t be comparing them in here but it’s almost hard not to compare them.

Edit, up to the Quarry/Monastery section now, this area is not fun to explore is it?

Edit 2, this is actually starting to outstay its welcome, the last area was awful to explore, I had hero mode on nearly all the time as the miasma was constantly draining my maximum health, enemies when defeated were draining my maximum health, just looked how long I have left and I’m not that close to finishing it really. Compared to this morning where it was quite close between this and Death’s Door, I’d say that definitely has the upper hand as it doesn’t have that many ‘cheap’ elements gameplay wise. I’d have been overly frustrated going through the last area if you couldn’t toggle invincibility on and off. I might try and power through it tomorrow afternoon after work and just keep hero mode on.

I DNF'd this game. The whole 'figure it out as you play' thing would have been okay if it wasn't attached to a game as clunky and slow paced as this one. I just didn't enjoy it.

I’m about ready to give up on this as well, just got to the point where I’ve now got to find the 6 Hero Grave/shrines to pray at, probably right near the end but this just isn’t fun anymore.

Announced during the latest Nintendo Direct, Tunic is coming to the Nintendo Switch on September 27th, the same day the little Zelda-inspired fox hits PS4 and PS5.

It’s £25.19 on Switch, how much was it elsewhere?

Blurry. Blurry is how it is. Playable, and I had a headache last night so maybe I'll get on with it better today; but blurry.

Also: hard.

That's me out then. Blurry sounds a bit rubbish. But hard, no time for hard games nowadays was just looking forward to some fun. :-(

Thinks I'll bag Monkey Island instead.
