I think it's much more likely people want to know about the Switch performance because

a) they only have a Switch
b) they would prefer to play it on Switch
c) they want to play it handheld

rather than

d) they were not aware it was also out on xbox (or pc or ps)

It’s more a point of it should be able to be 1080/720p on a switch rather easily.

Look at the Ori games for similar reasons.

Is there an option for the manual to be in English? I have a hard enough time remembering move-sets and features as it is without first needing to decipher instructions. (To say nothing of the unease caused by being unsure whether I have the right idea of what it's trying to tell me.)
The 16-bit era inspired manual is an inspired game idea to include, but I think they then went and overthought it. Like... those manuals, as all manuals, were the opposite of a puzzle.

I agree with that, it's a shame this isn't running better on Switch.

That's me out then. Blurry sounds a bit rubbish. But hard, no time for hard games nowadays was just looking forward to some fun. :-(

Thinks I'll bag Monkey Island instead.

There's an accessibility suite if that helps with the difficulty? Won't help with the blur though. Maybe it'll look better without a headache?

Not in game, but there are some translated versions knocking about on Reddit and the like.

I definitely want to play this, but a little wary now.

Anyone have a guess if this is likely to end up on Playstation Premium at some point? I'm thinking it might be a little while - after this being on Gamepass, I'm guessing they put this on Switch / Playstation to actually sell some units rather than make Sony's streaming service a bit more desirable, right?

The accessibility options are very good to be honest, no stamina cost and no health drain/death. I used the stamina option from getting the shield, I turned the health option on when I got to a later game area before ultimately giving up on the game sadly.

Obviously doesn’t help with the blur.

Started playing this. Almost immediately lost  Trying to find my way to the old well, which I'm sure should be easier than I am making it!

EDIT: Really getting into this now! Reached the second boss, who wrecked me, but I feel like I'm making good progress and have plenty of stat upgrades (and I actually have another area to explore before I go back and try that boss properly).

I'm not having any issues on Switch. It's not super sharp sure but it looks alright still. My main complaint is the load times when moving areas, they're not awful but they're not instant either.

So I’ve got 2 of the 3 items so far, it’s not really clicking with me. I think I preferred Death’s Door, the movement feels off and you can sometimes get stuck in parts of the levels where you feel you should just be able to walk through/past. The bosses suffer from real heavy difficulty spikes and the game can be more obtuse than I would have liked. I imagine I’m not too far from the end but, yeah, I don’t think it deserves the big 9 scores it got, maybe a solid 7.

Death's Door is better. The character movement in this was so strawberry floating slow. It made walking around, figuring out where to go a chore, especially when lost. Which for me, was the majority of the time.

You guys know there's a dash button, right?

It's really not that much slower than the movement in Death's Door.

Agreed

For me it also feels like there were a lot of invisible walls everywhere that stopped you from reaching areas which annoys me. For instance, on the beach areas, you could quite easily walk around certain sections but an invisible wall prevents you from moving that way. Also, the amount of times I seem to miss the entrance to a set of steps and the character ends up walking down the side of them or something instead.

Overall I think Death’s Door is the better game, story included.

I loved this to start with, it had nearly everything going for it, the combat was solid but not great. The further I got and the more I compared it (inevitably so?) to Death’s Door the less I enjoyed this. The limited waypoints in Death’s Door were better than in Tunic, where you were almost completely reliant on collecting the guide, or using a guide (which I did on a couple of occasions to get myself back on track after getting hopelessly lost) instead. What did this for me was one of the later game areas where I’d have not even gotten through if it wasn’t for the no death mode.

The Fox main character in this is ridiculously adorable though  but then the Crow was great in Death’s Door too.

Yeah, it still feels sluggish.
