I gotta say, Qikz, that your commentary is excellent. I've listened a couple of times and you clearly have a massive knowledge of StarCraft, whilst your vocal description and clarity is terrific. Good going, man.

That's a lot of money being paid out by Amazon if every Prime member uses it. We might as well give our money to someone - who will you choose? I know of nobody apart from Fortnite king Ninja, Boogie2988 and SSSniperWolf.

Maybe we could set up a GRcade streaming thing so we could donate to that and use the money to run the forum.

Good call, assuming there aren't any policies preventing something like that (not sure how)?

To be fair I have no idea what I would give my $2.50 to as I don't really follow anything/anyone on Twitch - it would probably just end up going to some "tits for views" streamers as those are the only ones I've ever seen mentioned anywhere!

I'd like to know more about tits for view.

Basically it appears that there are a fair number of people who just use Twitch as a portal for prancing around in provocative clothing whilst occasionally pretending to play video games. They seem to make a fair bit of cash from wiggling their chests and/or arses at the camera for large portions of their streaming time.

I've since various YouTube videos where "real" streamers basically moan about them - ones I've heard mention of are "Alinity" , "Amuranth", "Zoie Bugher" and "Pink Sparkles" but I gather there are a lot of others around.

Free comics? How do I get those?

Search for Prime Reading on Amazon.

It just takes me to some search results for kindle unlimited. Maybe mine is different as I have the student edition of Prime.

I checked the My Prime Benefits page and it doesn't mention any free books/comics either :(

And maybe one day, if enough of us subscribe, Amazon's warehouse staff will be able to take toilet breaks without having to worry about losing their jobs.

Or Jeff Bezos will just replace them all with robots, while he and Elon Musk holiday on Mars.

Pay attention this month if you have twitch prime, they're dropping some massive bombs on a daily basis:

Battle Chef Brigade, Observer, Tyranny, Pillars of Eternity, Red Strings Club and more. I was thinking of buying some of these in the steam sale, glad I held off.

That's a great list of games.

I’ve been thinking about picking up Pillars of Eternity Definitive Edition for a while now so that’s great. Tacoma has been on my Steam wishlist for ages too!

I have Prime but have no intention of using Twitch, can I still nab the free games?

Also, do you have to have a paid subscription for Twitch to get the games, its not very clear what you actually get with Prime.

Yep - I think the instructions are somewhere else in this thread but basically if you go to your prime account on the amazon site you should be able to link it to twitch. Then once you have done that you just login to twitch and there will be a "loot" button which will contain all the free games that you are currently eligible for - click "claim" on them and they get added to your twitch account.

You have to use the twitch desktop app to actually get the games but at no point are you required to actually do any streaming as far as I can tell.

Do I need a paid subscription to Twitch?

I see there's a 30 day trial but after those 30 days can I still access the games?

My understanding is that as long as you have a prime account linked to your free twitch profile then you can access the games.

There is no paid subscription to twitch, what you are being offered is a 30 day free trial to prime.

Ironhide, you do not pay anything to Twitch, just make an account, and link it to your Prime account, and claim away. That said I struggled to find where to claim them through the desktop app, but it was clear as day on the twitch.tv website

It is crazy good, I now have a quite a large library of games in my Twitch account, though I am still yet to play any thing through the Twitch launcher, which is odd as I am certain I would have tried several of the games if it was through Steam.

Outrageously it is the Last Blade, not the Last Blade 2! (Which I purchased in the steam sale so I would have had to refund!)

Grabbed this myself last night and gave it a quick bash.

It seems decent so far but I had forgotten that this was very similar to the old Baldurs Gate style games and I always seemed to bounce off those after a few hours so I'll see how I get on with this.

Either way you can't complain when it's free! :D

I missed grabbing my free game yesterday. Boo!
