First one was awful, hopefully this is better. This time we will hopefully see Gods and Monsters (which now looks to be called Immortals: Fenyx Rising)

It can't be worse than the first one, that even made a Viking inspired Assassins Creed game look pretty boring to me.

Will just catch up on the trailers and reveal later, I won't be watching as the last one was boring.

I hope this Prince of Persia rumour is true.

Kinda wish PoP was getting a reboot instead of a remake, but maybe this will hopefully build up interest for one in the future.

Just watched the clip for the game in question, it couldn't be more tone deaf to the current state of the world if it tried  :fp:

Good* to know that UbiSoft can also f*ck up things that aren’t their own employees.

I thought it was taken as given that every Tom Clancy game is a right-wing propaganda piece promoting democratically unaccountable military interventionism under the guise of security. If anything I'd prefer they double down on the rhetoric because it's somehow been a little too subtle so far and we don't want anyone incorrectly believing the worldview of Tom Clancy to be a good thing.

The advantage of course is that playing a empathetically bankrupt blood-thirsty fascist makes for some pretty fun videogames because it gives your character the faux moral certainty to murder hundreds of people without any ludonarrative dissonance.

Maybe certain people within Ubisoft should stop being too Forward in every sense of the term.

That seems up in the air atm, all the rumours vary on what they are actually remaking (Classic or Sands of Trilogy or 2008 PoP....who knows)

I’d be there day 1 for a Sands Trilogy, never got round to plying the 2008 one so not sure how it stacks up.

A whole trilogy remake seems a hefty task, but then again it's Ubi and they have countless studios around the world to be working on this. But if it's just the first Sands of Time that's legit remade from the ground up, that would still be hype. Seeing that world in current gen would be a treat.

Anyone watching live tonight? Seems this is shaping up to be a lot better than the last one

Immortals: Fenyx Rising (Gods and Monsters re-reveal)
Prince of Persia (reboot/remake all but confirmed to be shown)
Scott Pilgrim vs The World remaster (Edgar Wright has been teasing a Scott Pilgrim announcement today)
