£120 is laughable :slol:

What on earth do you get extra over the base edition that justifies a £50 increase?

Like, they do realise that won't sell, then they'll complain about how poorly it's sold, because its £70-£120

The idea of paying a minimum of £70 on one game sickens me to my stomach. It's just inconceivable in the current economic crisis.

There is such a select handful of games (outside of Nintendo first party) that I'll happily pay full price for, don't think I've ever spent anywhere near £70 on the initial purchase of a single game.

Early Access
Season Pass for story DLC
Some in game item bundles

Just absurd pricing.

I might bite when it inevitably sells for £35 by Christmas.

That version will be under £50 (when on sale) about a year after its come out, maybe even less. Genuinely feel sorry for the folk who are going to shell out £120 on this :dread:

It's a Ubisoft game, it'll be sub £20 within a year.

Is it fair to say it might just be better getting a month of Ubisoft+ or whatever their Game Pass alternative is than paying full price?

Story trailer was a bit underwhelming. Would have been completely forgettable (and I'm not sure I'd have bothered to finish watching it) without the Star Wars dressing.

Pretty much this. The carbonite being the most exciting thing in the trailer doesn't bode well.

I'm sure the game will be perfectly serviceable. But it'll be a completely by the numbers Ubisoft affair.

Ubi response

"To clarify, Jabba the Hutt and the Hutt Cartel are one of the main syndicates in Star Wars Outlaws and will be part of the experience for everyone who purchases the game, regardless of edition," a Ubisoft spokesperson said in a statement to Eurogamer. "The 'Jabba's Gambit' mission is an optional, additional mission with the Hutt Cartel along Kay and Nix's journey across the Outer Rim. This mission will be available to those who purchase the season pass or an edition of the game which includes the season pass."
